When ordering last night a friend asked the waiter whether they serve pineapple on pizza to which the waiter laughed at his face and said no. Serving certain ingredients and not others is of course fully within a restaurants rights but a while after we could see the waiter laughing with 5-6 random guys one of whom actually then came to our table to confront the friend about his pizza preferences. After this the waiter came and directed the guy out and when we asked the waiter what that was about he laughed and said that the guys wanted to come and take my friends pizza away. After our meal when getting the check we gave the waiter direct feedback that laughing at a guest with his friends and letting them into the restaurant to confront guests is not acceptable and left a really bad taste of the restaurant as a whole. To this the waiter outright denied knowing the people or telling them about my friends inquiry on getting pineapple on his pizza which seemed quite unlikely especially with the comment about the guys specifically wanting to come and take my friends pizza away. Rude staff. A group of us were meeting at the restaurant for dinner after a day of travelling from different countries. Due to unforeseen circumstances, a couple of people could not make the booking. We let the restaurant know as soon as we arrived, they moved us to a smaller table and I assumed the matter was resolved. At the end of our meal, after we had paid and were getting up to leave, someone (who seemed like the owner) comes up to us and tells us that we should not behave this way. We were very confused, and asked him to elaborate, he said that we should not reduce the size of the booking at the last minute and that next time they would charge us. I tried to explain that it was out of our hands but he was talking over me. I would have been willing to pay extra in this scenario if they had mentioned it earlier, but I do not appreciate the condescending tone and the fact that they waited until after we had paid to tell us off. They also refused to fill our water glasses after the first one, and the food was mediocre, with the pasta being in a watery sauce (the cheese wheel pasta dish). After coming here many times before and always loving the food and service, I was shocked at the service I received today. Throughout our sitting, service was actually great as always. My girlfriend ordered the parmesan pasta which was not at all to our liking. The staff kindly took it away and said it was no problem. He did not inform us at all about what would happen if we would sent the pasta back. Unfortunately my girlfriend lost her appetite and did not want to order anything else. So we shared my pizza and ordered desert.

After we finished eating I asked for the bill which -to my surprise- still included the pasta. I was told by the staff member that the kitchen said there was nothing wrong with the pasta so I still had to pay for it. It blows my mind thinking that when a guest does not like your food, you are not provided with any solution whatsoever. Why on earth would you ever send back food if you still have to pay for it? I'm sure as hell glad we did not order another pasta because we likely had to pay for that as well.
