Let me start with this is not authentic Peruvian food. Peruvian food doesn’t have chimichangas or nachos and their version of chicha morada is not too close to the real thing. I have lots of Peruvian family and we eat Peruvian on the regular and this place is a far cry from even being a Peruvian place. The empanadas were not good. That is being very nice. The yucca salad was good but how hard is it to deep fry yucca. I would not eat at this place again. I didn’t try the lomo burger which is what they are known for. I do not recommend at all. I was very surprised to see so many Mexican dishes on the menu and then when we asked the staff where they were from they said Chile. So I think they must have some of the dishes mixed with other countries. So don’t let the name trick you into thinking it is Peruvian!
After the reply from the restaurant I still stand by my review. I was not racist. My review is accurate. Everyone who knows Peruvian cuisine knows that the Chinese have a huge influence in Peruvian food but it doesn’t mean it isn’t Peruvian food. 3 of the 4 people in my party eating with me that day were Peruvian and did not like the food, did not think it was authentic. All I am saying is if you put Sabor Peruano on your menu it better be Sabor Peruano. Also kind restaurant owner having a real pollo a la braza there is nothing better than the original if you cook it properly. Sorry I hit a nerve but I take my Google reviews seriously. Hope this helps someone else who might mistake this restaurant for an authentic Peruvian restaurant. Also please next time call out racism when it happens, but don’t pretend that everybody who doesn’t like your food must be racist. There is nothing racist about saying that your staff could be from somewhere else and fusing your food. You kind sir are the one who called your restaurant Inca Mania, you did, nobody else. I just commented so that others who see the name don’t get confused and think this restaurant has authentic...
Read moreIt's a place that I've now visited more than once. Always with friends!!! I do recommend it to hang out and experience Latin American food at its best! (I'm also Latin American so I'm happy to point it out). The ingredients are fresh and the chef and staff are happy to serve their food and offer a great experience. They have Chicha (a corn based Peruvian drink) that is delicious and traditional, as well as, Ceviche Peruano (a white fish cooked with lime juice and accompanied with veggies) that is truly tasty and fresh for any occasion. Their asados chicken and beef asados are super consistent, with a perfectly rich and thick sauce that makes great use of the meat juices and the vegetable juices that are served along with it.
Nonetheless it's a great place to try authentic and traditional food from Perú with people that are proud to share...
Read moreA very pleasant first experience with Peruvian food.
The Ceviche was for starters. It was very refreshing and really warmed my taste buds up for the main course.
For mains we had Lomo Saltado and Seco De Carne and the dishes didn’t disappoint. The fried beef was stir fried to perfection with a charred outer and pink juicy centre. The beef stew was so soft and tender.
My partner and I shared everything and we both agreed the food was amazing. It’s an amazing introduction to the cuisine and I’m sure we will seek out more of it in the future.
Lastly, credit to the fantastic host who gave us a very warm welcome and guided us to order the dishes we had. If you want a nice place to have a meal and you are in the area. I say just do it! You will not be...
