Shanghai Garden (Voormalig) — Restaurant in Delft

Came here three times. The food quality is average though not pricy. But the service I got was just getting worse and worse. At the last time, the waitress served wrong dishes but claimed that we have to pay for that, which is rediculous. Why would customer pay for your mistake? At the beginning, we were about pay, anyway we ate the dishes before we noticed that it was wrongly served by her( but also no one told us until we found out by ourself). But then the attitude of the waitress was so impolite, rude and irritating. No apology, neither any explaination. Just cold words to blame us ! What's even worse is that she said that we should not call her for check, in a very bad mannered way with Cantonnese ! Execuse me?? We waited for someone to check like 20 mins, no one came and at last we should not note you to check?? Do you expect us to wait until you close? Unbelieveablly absurd! I can go further with the unpleasant experince, but I feel it is a waste of time. So just want to remind anyone who wants to go there, please be prepared and extremely tolerant, because the staff there is the God and you should be loved to be treated rudely. Never gonna be...

Hygiëne was beyond horrible. The toilets were extremely dirty and it was over flooded, but no one border to fix it even after telling them.

The food didn’t taste good and were quite expensive. Evening dishes were at least 23euro each and with meat it was around 30euro. But the quality was really lacking, like the roasted pork belly. It was not crunchy at all and it was thinly sliced with a lot of fat. The char siu tasted light, almost without taste and was marinated with too much red powder. And other dishes tasted too salty, except the boiled chicken, which was boiled just right and it was tasty with salted ginger sauce since you can decide how much you can put on it.

Lots of dimsums were not available in the evening so a bit disappointing. Expected to be offered some sliced fruits or dessert soup at the end since the bill was over 300euro, but nothing at all.

Nice and clean restaurant, and the staff is friendly when you’re friendly to them. I had excellent food, great service though I neither speak dutch or chinese. Staff explained as good as possible, and the wan tan soup, seafood special, shrimps with water spinach, scallops and seafood soup were delicious. I can confirm everything was clean when I was there. The guests were 90% asian, the restaurant is in the 1st floor of the Shanghai Hotel. I think the food is authentic. Thank you for the hospitality!

I asked the waiter for something not on the dinner card. On next day he had arranged two variations of my beloved chicken feet. I took both because only minor restaurants offer this delicacy! SEVEN STARS!
