Hawaiian Poké Bowl - Eindhoven — Restaurant in Eindhoven

Took this cutie out on a date and she seemed very pleased, so can't go lower than 5-stars or she'll definitely kill me. 😌

HER EXPERIENCE: She LOVES sushi and poké bowls but never tried Hawaiian-styled poké bowls before, so a lot of toppings were Greek to her.

As she was customizing her bowl, it was like watching a child at the candy store. Love it!

THE CONCEPT: The place has one of those "huge tablet stands" (whatever you call them) where you can place your orders (like at McDonald's), the pictures help a lot and the option to customize your bowl is fun and seamless, after you place your order you grab a number and place it on your chosen table awaiting your bowl(s) to be served at your table.

MY PROS: I personally like the food, but am more of a fan of the presentation and atmosphere/ambiance of the place, it's very chill and all the fake plants covering the walls, the bowls made out of wood and coconut shells covering the lamps give the place a distinct style, especially here in Eindhoven where most places look plain and samey, the place still has that industrial ceiling you'll find everywhere in Eindhoven, BUT they went the extra mile to paint it matte black which adds a lot. I also appreciate the option between eating with chopsticks (my preference) or with a fork, most places give you either.

MY CONS: The only bad thing I can think of was about the food itself, I only ate here once and noticed that the avocado wasn't chopped in pieces but you got one big piece and the rice wasn't sticky enough which were huge disappointments for me personally.

I have been coming here for several months now and am always surprised by the quality, quantity and price of the food. It starts as soon as you enter the cozy decorated restaurant. The restaurant is cheerfully decorated and breathes an atmosphere as if you are on a tropical island. You are kindly greeted by the staff. If you are unable to place your order via the order kiosk, the staff will help you to place or take the order. You will receive a detailed explanation about the different meals and the ingredients. No matter how busy they are, you get full attention and service. Every time I've been there the service, food and quality meet my expectations. You can taste that the ingredients are fresh. You get your ordered dish quickly and yet you can see that the dishes are prepared with a lot of love. What catches the eye is that the staff work orderly and hygienically. Clean clothing, wearing gloves and the workbench is regularly cleaned with a cloth. I would especially like to compliment Veronika for her friendliness, professionalism, knowledge and service. Because of her, even the somewhat critical guest leaves the place with a satisfied feeling. She has an excellent sense of service and knows how to attract guests to Hawaiian Poké Bowl. Good food but missing the human touch. Good varieties of ingredients, but risk contamination. Overall, I would go back there.

PRO: I liked the food very much and the ingredients looked fresh, the flavour was good and the portion were big. Good price/quantity. They have allergene list, and a lot of choices gluten free, vegetarian and vegan. The toilet was clean.

CONS: The waiting time may be very long because they work a lot with delivery companies: I went there when there were just a few people in front of me...but then I waited 40 minutes to get the food because there were constantly new food deliveries. I think the guests in the shop should have the priority over the deliveries, or they should be informed of possible long waiting times. Furthermore, it is missing the human touch also when ordering because there are 4 screens and you can order only through these and pay only by card (no cash option). When I went, the tables were also not so clean. Last but not least, the ingredients they were using for the bowls were a bit mixed up with those next to them.
