A Disappointing Tapas Adventure..

I recently went on what I hoped would be an exciting culinary adventure at an all-you-can-eat tapas restaurant, but sadly, the experience left me more frustrated than fulfilled.

Let's talk about the food first. Tapas should be bursting with flavor, right? Unfortunately, the dishes here were just...okay. I was expecting something special given the price, but most of what I tasted was just average, nothing that made me sit up and say, "Wow, I need to have that again."

Then came the service, or rather, the lack of it. I don’t mind a little wait between rounds, but when it takes 20 minutes just to place an order for the next set of dishes, it starts to feel like a test of patience. By the time I was waiting for the third round, I wondered if it was ever going to come. Spoiler alert: it didn’t. I’m not sure if they were understaffed or if this is some sort of strategy to keep you from eating too much, but either way, it was frustrating.

And if you’re thinking of ordering a drink, be prepared to wait. It took 10 to 15 minutes for a drink to arrive, just long enough to wonder if they’d forgotten about you.

On a positive note, the place does have a nice interior. The design is cozy and welcoming, but even that couldn’t make up for the lackluster food and service.

Pro Tip: Avoid anything on the menu with a golden heart symbol. They call it the chef’s special, but based on what I tried, it might be more accurate to say it’s the dish the chef doesn’t want to make.

In the end, I left feeling disappointed and won’t be rushing back anytime soon. There are plenty of other places where you can get better food and service for...

I arrived without a reservation from which in a short time I was seated. After consulting the menu I chose the Chef's suggestions, I asked the waitress how many dishes I would have to order to be well, and she replied that 2 were enough, as they are groumet style dishes (as you can confirm from the photos) very good on the palate, but I had to order the 3rd course, as the two dishes arrived before the couvert came to the table and the drink also arrived after it was ordered first. The dessert was good and according to my order (crème brullee) but without being burnt. In fact, when I asked for the bill, I wasn't sure (having an idea how much I could pay for having worked in the business) because the prices are not displayed on the menu, the kitchen open, organized, fast in the 5* service Central bar good collection of bottles but staff to work there were only two and they didn't have hands for so many orders If the cuisine is more Spanish, well I found few or almost no Spanish dishes, but...

Na veel goede verhalen te hebben gehoord over dit restaurant, dacht ik even een leuk avondje te gaan uiteten met mijn vriend. Het ontvangst was prima. Echter hadden wij aangegeven bij het maken van de reservering graag aan een tafel op een relatief rustige plek te willen zitten, maar hier werd naar mijn mening vrij weinig mee gedaan. We zaten bij het raam tussen een hoop andere tafels en tegenover de keuken, na een paar rustige minuten kwamen er zeer luidruchtige mannen naast ons zitten die het ook leuk vonden om het personeel voor schut te zetten. Ik heb me KAPOT geërgerd en totaal niet genoten van de avond. Het concept werd daarentegen wel goed uitgelegd en we hadden goede verwachtingen. Echter, werd na het bestellen van onze 1e drankjes nog amper naar ons om gekeken. De bediening vond het een betere optie om met zijn allen te gaan kletsen in plaats van te vragen of alles naar wens was of om onze drankjes of bestelling m.b.t. het eten op te nemen. Het eten was van zeer slechte kwaliteit; hele kleine porties (nog kleiner dan je zou verwachten van een tapasrestaurant), het leek vrijwel allemaal opgewarmd vanuit de magnetron en daarnaast ben ik tijdens het eten gewoon misselijk geworden, omdat het zo slecht was. Het eten werd apart geserveerd waardoor de ene persoon af en toe wel aan het eten was en de ander maar een beetje zat te kijken hoe jij je eten aan het eten was. Doordat de gerechtjes niet allemaal in een keer werden geserveerd, zijn ze zelfs soms vergeten om het 3e gerechtje te brengen en hebben we vaak maar 2 gerechtjes gehad in plaats van 3. Ik kan me persoonlijk echt niet vinden in de goede verhalen die ik eerder heb gehoord over het restaurant en zal het dus echt niet aanraden aan andere mensen. Het was er ook enorm heet (ik denk dat de airco kapot was). We hebben vrijwel de hele avond met de menukaart lopen te wapperen om het wat koeler te krijgen. Daarnaast vind ik het restaurant nog al een b- variant van 't Zusje (zelfde concept alleen mag je 1 gerechtje meer per ronde maar is de kwaliteit van het eten en de service velen malen slechter). Ik vind het echt mijn geld niet waard en kom hier zeker ook...
