Bodega Y Tapas Damsterdiep — Restaurant in Groningen

Visited this place with my family. The place itself looks nice but tables were so tiny we all barely fit at the table they assigned for us. Very long time before rounds of food, got wrong tapas as well. This all could be forgiven however there is one reason I'll never set foot here again. It is unbearably hot inside, AC doesn't work, waiters all covered in swear and guests use menu's as hand fans. That is NOT how you want to spend your evening. Also worth mentioning it's very cramped and very loud, you can't even hear people at your own table.

While the food is delicious, the waiting time is far too long. We spent 2,5 hours and only got 3 rounds with almost an entire hour between the first and second round. We had a 4th round ordered 45min before closing and we got 1 item dropped on our table with no explanation the kitchen was closing and the rest wouldn't be served. As a result we left the restaurant hungry and bought something to eat on the way home.

Das Bodega Y Tapas ist ein schönes Tapas-Restaurant mitten in Groningen.

Es bietet All-You-Can-Eat an. Außer Freitags und Samstags kostet das 17,50€ pro Person. Bei jeder Runde kann jede Person zwei Tapas bestellen. Diese werden dann nett angerichtet auf einer Platte serviert. Wenn man zu viel bestellt und nicht aufisst, muss man pro Gericht 2€ zahlen, was ich total super finde!

Wir waren am Sonntag Abend ohne Reservierung da und haben einen Platz bekommen. Uns wurde alles erklärt und wir wurden nett bedient. Die Getränkepreise sind auch angemessen.

Das Lokal ist relativ bunt, aber stimmig eingerichtet. Es gibt viele Kerzen und gemütliche Plätze.

Essen: Es gibt eine große Auswahl an Tapas, die in vier Kategorien sortiert sind (kalt, mit Fleisch, mit Fisch, vegetarisch). Die Auswahl an warmen vegetarischen Tapas ist gut. Wir hatten frittierte Kartoffeln, Käsefondue, Käsekroketten, Zwiebelringe, Ziegenkäse mit Honig und Walnuss sowie Bruschetta, Champignons und Enchiladas. Zusätzlich gibt es noch Brot mit verschiedenen Dips, Nachos, Antipasti und Tomate-Mozzarella-Spieße.

Die Gerichte schmeckten alle in Ordnung, waren aber auch nichts besonderes. Die Portionen sind relativ klein, was praktisch ist zum Ausprobieren, aber nervig, wenn man noch sehr hungrig ist ;-)
