Frietwinkel — Restaurant in Groningen

Went there yesterday 24.07. in the afternoon. The dark haired girl was super rude when I asked her which sauce the typical Dutch fries sauce is. Then waiting an extensive amount of time for the fries I was watching the blond girl who was preparing the fries, while she was waiting for the fries to be finished she bit her nails and had her fingers in her mouth, also she kept poking her ears... With the same fingers she then prepared the paper cones for the fries touching them inside. On top of all of this I just got the normal mayonnaise instead of the sauce (the only reason I went there ) . Surely won't be back, pity this place was recommended to me by locals but if staff who are preparing food are not washing there hands after putting their fingers to their mouths I...

The have delicious fresh wedge potatoes. They come in a very useful container that separates the sauce from the fries. The staff is friendly as well. The place looks nice although is very small and sometimes there is no place to sit. Their variety in sauces is very small. The place with belgium fries has a better and bigger variety of sauces. If the Frietwinkel increased the amount of sauces, it would be great and they'll surely get more clients, since I know people, including myself, that sometimes prefers the other place because of that...

It was really bad. I have eaten many Belgium Fries before but that was the worst. That was even worse than McDonalds/ Burger King fries. That comment was only for fries. The beef stewp was REALLY bad. I mean Walking Dead 7th season bad. Like How I Met Your Mother last episode bad. Besides cinnamon flavor, half of the portion was inedible. It was full of gristle. Location was interesting. Staff were kind and thats the only reason i give 2 stars...
