La Cubanita Groningen — Restaurant in Groningen

I honestly don't know how this place has 4 stars for real. Are you all unaware of good and fresh in this country? My only assumption for giving this place more than 2 stars...

To begin with almost everything we ordered, you couldn't taste the ingredients... You could close your eyes and you couldn't distinguish what is what. I don't know who is working in the kitchen, definitely not Cuban.

To continue with, they weren't fresh. We ordered some shrimps, I immediately smelled them and we didn't even touched them... They were dead a long time ago.

The 2 stars is only because there were these very kind and nice waitresses, one that explained to us how the system works and prepared us the drinks (although they weren't very good, i know it perhaps wasn't your fault because cocktail and 6€...) and the one that was taking the plates and told us we won't be paying for the returned dishes

Also what is that size of the dish...? They were only made for 2 people but the tables to eat are for 4+🙄 (i know you can order more, maybe order less plates per round but bigger portions when there are more people, are we supposed to cut everything in half everytime?🙄🙄)

Definitely not worth...

It was absolutely amazing! We have no idea why there are so many bad reviews as this is the perfect combination of fine dining and casual all you can eat. The food was awesome, f.e. the smoked duck breast with raspberry dressing or the goat cheese and ham packets with balsamic sirup. Yummy! You can choose any 2 dishes from the cart per person per round to prevent overeating and wasting food. The service was lovely although they really do work hard there - so appreciate it, guys! We will surely come back every time we're in the Netherlands. Thank you!...

We really did not understand the hype. There were oily and deep fried foods which do not taste different than a regular restaurant. Some foods were so oily that we felt tired after a couple of rounds. Not full but tired.

Sometimes we did not receive the things we ordered. Each time we needed to check it with the waiters. The foods were usually late. For example, I have waited 30 minutes for 2 small tacos in the last round. Then, I decided just to leave the restaurant. It was too much hassle to track your food.

30 euros per person is way too expensive for...
