The Stockroom — Restaurant in Groningen

We visited the Stockroom yesterday for a few hours from 9 p.m. We were met by very friendly staff and the place was packed. Luckily, we had a reservation at the bar. Our Bartender, Ismail, was very friendly and we were served fast, which is positive because the drinks are excellent. Ismail was able to create a tasty drink on the spot, which was not on the menu and I think was created ad hoc by him, using Rum agricole, which in itself is not the easiest to incorporate in a drink. Beforehand, he asked if I had any allergies. Seeing as the staff behind the bar is equipped with very high grade equipment and ingredients, the drinkspriced accordingly, but are still very fair priced. Still, if you just want to enjoy a beer and socialize, you can definitely do that here, but I would highly recommend the cocktails.

It all started with a recommendation and searching for the Bar. We searched like 30 Minutes, until we found a neighbouring Restaurant and some guys sittin in front. When we asked, if there is a Stockroom nearby, they pointed at the mysterious door nearby and said "It's behind that door, Trust me" and they weren't wrong. Behind that door there was Kind of another World. So many people in the Bar and you'd never guessed it. The Bartender who served us was really helpful and nice, had pretty good understanding of the cocktails and great recommendations. Free glasses of water were refilled regularly. Usually this place is super crowded with slow service, but during summer vacation it becomes chill and is a very nice place to hang out with friends and colleagues to drink fancy cocktails. The service was incredible recently. My sister and I were not sure what to order because all the cocktails seemed interesting, but the bartender was very accommodating and explained the whole menu and tailored each cocktail to our specific preferences, and his choices were spot on! The cocktails were pricey but delicious and you get the 5-star service along with it.
