Bagels & Beans Kruisstraat — Restaurant in Haarlem

The place is quite huge with a big hidden back area that you don't notice when walking by. I love the seats entirely at the back of the café, as it's really quiet and there's this very cozy living room like atmosphere.

They have a great selection of bagels with tons of topping combinations, also great for gluten-free, vegetarian or vegan customers.

I think they have a great breakfast deal where you get a bagel with different kinds of toppings (like cream cheese, chocolate sprinkles, jam, cheese and ham), half a piece of banana bread, a juice of choice and a hot drink of choice for only $13,50?!

I also tried the pink pineapple yogurt, which was good, but really hard to eat as it was served in a glass. I was left with plain yogurt as all the toppings were on top.

This was not bagels and coffee, it was an experience! The cappuccino was rich, velvety smooth, and delicious. They obviously begin with great coffee beans. For the bagel experience, you start by choosing the sandwich. I had the Avocado bagel twice and it was exceptional both times. Then you select 1 of 8 bagel (6 are vegan). Somehow they manage to consistently toast these to perfection. Then you add 1 of 5 cream cheese spreads (4 are vegan). The cream cheese spreads are all small-batch made especially for B&B. The spreads are so good many locals purchase them to take home. The staff were warm and friendly, and the entire atmosphere was most pleasant. as soon as i saw the holder for a LOT of napkins on the table, i knew everything is going to be perfect😂 finally someone made the cafe with a perfect service. Large selection of signature non-alcoholic drinks, not the sht like “cola, fanta etc” like in ALL other places around! Bagels was nice also. Clean toilets with napkins. I feel like I’m at hometown again where all this things are base. I wish the owners will prosperity and more cafes...
