The best experience I’ve had in Haarlem in a very long time! My brother came to visit from Brazil, and since he’s a wine enthusiast, I thought The Harlem Social Club would be the perfect place to take him. I couldn’t have been more right—we were both thrilled with our afternoon there. From the incredible wine selection and the fun, interactive way to try all the options, to the amazing pata negra and excellent service, everything exceeded our expectations. The name of the place truly fits—it’s a social club in every sense. From the moment we arrived, the couple next to us struck up a conversation, and we really enjoyed chatting with them. This kind of interaction is something I’ve never experienced in a bar in Haarlem before, and it made the visit even more special. A couple of months after the fact (we were in Haarlem on a surprise visit to celebrate my birthday), I want to celebrate this amazing wine bar. Like others such as the Vagabond mini-chain in London, they offer self-poured wines kept behind glass (as you can see in photo two), and keenly priced oyster specials on Sundays. Additionally, their cooked food offering is excellent, as the dirty fries attest. Finally, the venue was extremely accommodating at peak time on a Saturday night, letting a party of four sit comfortably in the back room. Such a Fun Wine Tasting Experience!

We had the best time at Harlem Social Club for a wine tasting with a big group of friends! The whole experience was super fun, relaxed, and actually really informative. The staff was amazing—so friendly, knowledgeable, and great at making everyone feel welcome.

The wine selection was fantastic, and they did a great job explaining everything in a way that wasn’t too serious but still really interesting. We laughed a lot, learned a lot, and just had an all-around great time.
