We found this restaurant after Half day wondering around Laiden in a chilly spring evening. The restaurant is cozy and homey and so is the host. He was most helpful in helping us navigating through the Dutch only menu. We ordered the three course dish and he allowed us to customize each of set freely. And last but definitely not the least, event dish was delicious from the free falafel starters to the starters to the entrees to the desert. We can’t elaborate more on how good the food is. Really disappointed with this place, they have fixed menu and you cannot even ask in advance what you get (i wonder who thought this was a good idea), very pretentious concept for a place that serves below average food, they try to give fancy restaurant vibes but unfortunately the chef's skills are far away from that. We had a 5-course menu to celebrate a special occasion. Everything was fairly priced, the pace of service was great, and all the food was delicious and had special combinations of ingredients. Portions were also surprisingly good, we were very satisfied by the end of the dinner. Service was friendly but non-invasive.
