Been here during a 1-day trip to Maastricht.
Apparently one of the very few places who serve small batch Mosae/Maas river banks' denomination wines in the city and the Limburg! This was the specific reason I walked in, sweating, after 2 hours of research and information requests to people on the street and a dozen shops in the centre..
In my broken Dutch, without mentioning I was a hospitality professional, I have had my questions answered and have been treated beautifully, with care and attention.
A girl from the bar talked and explained all she could, despite me being a 1-time-only customer, enjoying 2 glasses of a small production, high quality wine from the region, standing at the service counter.
Memorable experience, great service, they absolutely know what they're doing!
As an Italian, my compliments to Regio Limburg ..that makes great wines like our northern-eastern Friuli Venezia Giulia, and to the city of Maastricht, silent city with silent people with a Neapolitan kindness.
As a traveller, my compliments to the staff, was treated just like a regular customer. As a hospitality and tourism worker, feeling comfortable and at ease, chatting with the staff in a language I still do not master..
Grazie infinite al 't Wycker e alla CIVITAS TRAIECTI. Le esperienze, i sapori, i profumi e i sorrisi sono il piĂš bel souvenir...
Read moreWorst experience ever!! 29⏠for an EntrecĂ´te which was cooked to death! Ordered it medium. Was not even possible to cut with a knife. Shame on the chef that heâŚfirst: uses a piece of meat like that, second: let this dead thing out of the kitchen and really thinks he can offer that to a guest! For sure i complaint and sent it back to the kitchenâŚonly to wait 25min (all other family members were already finish with their dinner!) to received a new one which was not one peace EntrecĂ´te anymore: it was now cut into four slices!!! Disgusting. For the âchefâsâinformation: an EntrecĂ´te is ONE peace of meat! I donât know which profession the one in the kitchen has but he is definitely not a Chef. If you donât know how to prepare an EntecĂ´te - donât place it on the menue. I tried to talk with the chef-but i was told âhe is too busyâ. Thanks god, Maastricht has so much more restaurants. Btw: Kobe restaurant has a wonderful tenderloin for...
Read moreI don't like to give negative feedback but I hope that my critic can be useful for the management of this place and for the future clients. It is asbolutely not possible to charge 17,60 euro for a glass of warm water and a gin tonic, even in these hard times of very high inflation. What I paid is, undoubtely, utterly unfair and disproportionate! Furthermore the glas of warm water, that was supposed to be a ginger tea with fresh mint in, it has been prepared in an embarassing cheap way: the tinniest slice of ginger that you can even imagine and just two, only two leaves of mint! served at a warm temperature, surely below 60 degrees, and not at a hot temperature how it should be. Not to mention 13,60 euro paid for a simple glas of gin tonic and the pushy waitress that came two times in a very short time to ask if we wanted to order...
