Saigon Cuisine is a very small restaurant located in the heart of Maastricht. The payment options are limited, as they only accept cash or Maestro cards.
The service experience was mixed and seemed to depend on the staff member. A young man was attentive, accommodating, and helpful, while the lady at the counter gave the impression that our presence was unwelcome, which detracted from the overall atmosphere. Unfortunately, this lack of friendliness left us feeling uncomfortable, and we ended up eating quickly and leaving.
As for the food, we sampled the stir-fries, vegetable spring rolls, and summer rolls. The stir-fry sauces were flavorful, but the noodles were noticeably undercooked, which was disappointing. The spring rolls and summer rolls were well-prepared and enjoyable. One detail worth noting is that when we requested two glasses of tap water, we were charged €2.
Overall, while Saigon Cuisine delivers some enjoyable dishes, the inconsistent service, unwelcoming atmosphere, and uneven food quality made the dining experience less satisfying...
Read moreWe accidentally found this family owned/run restaurant in late spring 2019 and decided to give it a try. It's authentic as you can get (sometimes I prefer this over my mother's). Food & Drinks are ALWAYS super delicious! Always consistent, I've never had a bad meal/experience ever over the last 5 years of coming here. We used to come 1-2 times a week, every week (They also help me improve my Vietnamese haha) The food is true to its roots of Saigon. Staff/Family is always very welcoming. The Best Vietnamese Restaurant in The Netherlands & Ireland and better than many other Vietnamese families too. Great value also. What's even nicer, is when they have their "Special Noodle Soup" from time to time. The only bad point is that we don't live close to here anymore...

Coupled with the tight space and broken door, suffice to say I didn't have a nice time dining in, having my main served after my partner finished was the sour cherry on top.
I'd recommend you get delivery instead, but pho doesn't fare as well as when you get them piping hot, and they don't offer their Ban...
