Sicilery — Restaurant in Maastricht

Top experience at Sicilery, I enjoyed everything. The arancini were fantastic, I tried the ragù, burro and prosciutto and artichokes, the vegan option. I usually (like most meat/cheese eaters) am reluctant to try the vegan option, however I was surprised by the Amazing taste of this arancino, the inside was so creamy and incredibly tasty. As a dessert I was adviced to try the cannolo with ricotta, what to say, I was again amazed by the ricotta cream, sweet and soft with the crunch of the pastry of the cannolo. As a drink I took this typical beverage called Mandarino verde, It was refreshing and sweet, very nice. While there i had the pleasure to meet the young sicilian owners Rocco, Ottavio and Giuseppi, which made me feel like in a sicilian bar with their sense of humor and kindness. Furthermore the location Is unique and modern, very cosy and accomodating. I truly felt in Siciliy during the experience, the only thing missing was probably the Sea, I guess I will settle with...

I had a very disappointing experience at this place. I specifically mentioned that I am vegetarian and asked for a vegetarian arancino. The staff assured me they had an "Arancino alla Norma," which is supposed to be vegetarian. However, after taking a few bites, I realized there were pieces of meat inside. This was clearly not what I had ordered.

Not only was this misleading, but it also showed a lack of respect for dietary preferences. Making such a mistake can be problematic, especially for those who avoid meat for ethical, religious, or health reasons. I expect more attention and care when handling customers’ requests, especially when dietary restrictions are clearly communicated.

I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for reliable...

We had an amazing experience with getting catering from Sicilery for an event (+60 people)! Rocco was really nice and helpful in drawing up a catering plan. He incorporated our wishes for a variety of things and also vegetarian and vegan options. In the end, we got arancini, focaccia and cannoli. The focaccia was made with local ingredients, was very fresh and really good. The cannoli were also incredibly good :) Sicilery delivered the food reliably and helped set it up and even brought a table cloth by to make the set up look more aesthetic. After this experience, we would definitely recommend - either eating there and trying their delicious foods or ordering...
