We went as a group to dine at this restaurant, but we’re disappointed when the service was not only very slow but also quite rude near the end. The food items were as expected though in the end it took us very long and what felt like 30 minutes to get the employees’ attention to be able to pay our bill. We asked a total of three times for the bill and when we asked one last time, the reply we got was along the lines of “oh but you didn’t ask me”. Then, the pin terminal was malfunctioning to which another employee said it happens all the time… not a good feeling for the guest! Then, they made me pay on another pin terminal and when I asked to see if the first attempt was cancelled (because I obviously don’t want to be charged twice for one meal), they refused to show me proof that the first transaction was cancelled… and I was asked “oh you don’t trust me?” which I found quite odd and honestly did not know what to answer to. As to the student discount, it is supposedly 20%, but what we received was not a 20% discount of the full bill but of a weird “subtotal” amount which showed up unexplained on our bill, which was lower than what the 20% should have been. In all, I do not recommend this restaurant if you’re trying to have a smooth dining experience, thank you...
Read moreHad a good dinner at Napoli Pizzeria. It wasn’t the best pizza I’ve ever had, but it was good and tasty enough. Prices are reasonable for a restaurant in the city centre. There’s something for everyone on the menu: from cheese-only options to charcuterie, vegetarian pizzas, and even two halal choices (chicken pizza and pasta). The spicy oil is really good and actually spicy! They also serve bread, butter and olives when you’re seated, which is a nice touch. We did have to wait a bit for our pizzas, but it wasn’t a problem for us as we were enjoying good company and conversation. Just keep in mind that if you come really hungry, you might need to be a bit patient (luckily, there’s the bread and butter!). The decoration is quite cute with the classic red and white checkered tablecloths. The toilets could use some renovation and a bit more cleaning. The service by Samir was great, very pleasant...
Read more6 of us enjoyed an amazing evening in the Napoli Pizzeria last Saturday prior to the Andre Rieu concert. The pizzeria has a wonderful location in the Market Square with tables both inside and out. Blankets are even provided for those sitting outside if the weather turns a little chilly. We’d booked a table and everything was ready for us when we arrived. The selection of home cooked food using local produce was amazing. I particularly enjoyed being able to watch the preparation and cooking of the various dishes. Indeed that’s how I can guarantee that everything IS home cooked from fresh produce. The pizzeria had been busy with customers ALL day - we’d had coffee there earlier - but the smiles on the faces of the staff were still there and their welcome was both warm and sincere. I only wish that Maastricht wasn’t so far from England for I’d be eating there regularly. I couldn’t recommend it...
