If you go to Starbucks in the United States, DO NOT GO HERE. Iâve never had a worse Starbucks experience in my life. The cold brew tastes like Americano, the service was very rude for no reason. After ordering a medium cold brew for $7.13 with no ice, the cup arrived only filled 1/3 of the way. In a passive aggressive way she shared that âjust because you donât get ice Iâm not going to fill up the entire cupâ. $7.13 for what could be finished in 2 gulps, absurd. I then kindly asked for more oat milk as the their americano tasting cold brew needed to be diluted. The oat milk was less than I ordered/wanted. The other colleague said that it would now cost ~$1.20 for another splash of oat milk - even though it seems like the barista made it incorrectly. They refused to fix the drink. As someone whoâs a big fan of Starbucks, having gone to many in my lifetime, this one was the worst by far. Service was rude for absolutely 0 reason and the drink was bad - at top dollar prices as well.
Support other coffee shops in Aruba please. Youâll pay less at the Ritz Carltonâs coffee shop ($5) for a much better drink - you donât need to be a guest to go there,...
Read moreThe Dutch love coffee. You do any business on the island and the first thing the local businessperson will offer you is THE most delicious cup of freshly brewed Dutch coffee right there in their office. Starbucks, however, is an international brand, and we Americans are comfortable and familiar with its singular brand of coffee. When I started visiting Aruba in the 1990s, there was no sign of Starbucks. But now there are many shops on the island and they are always full. The Starbucks @ Gloria is one of the newer locations. It's in the entertainment complex with the IMAX. The store is not affiliated with the US stores so you can't use your Starbucks card or get points for FREE drinks. (So much for Starbucks gamification....) This store shares its space with a divine gelato store so you can enjoy all your guilty pleasures. I love the psychedelic design as you walk into the complex. I felt I was back in the 1960s. There's plenty of parking when there's not a popular movie showing. It's easy to get in and out. When in Rome, do like the Romans do. I prefer Dutch coffee. But if you need a taste of...
Read moreIâve been to Starbucks locations all over the world, and this was hands-down the worst experience Iâve ever had. The staff here was unbelievably rude and clearly not interested in customer service. They nickel-and-dimed me for everything â including charging an extra $1.50 USD just for oat milk and even making an issue about filling my coffee without ice. Seriously?
You canât even use the Starbucks app here, which makes me wonder if this is even a real Starbucks or just a bad imitation. The employees were slow, incompetent, and downright dismissive â itâs like they were annoyed I even walked in.
The overall vibe was unwelcoming and petty, and the whole operation feels like a cash grab rather than the Starbucks experience people expect. For a global brand thatâs supposed to be about consistency and hospitality, this was embarrassing. They should be ashamed â and frankly, this location shouldnât even be operating under the...
