My partner and I ate here 2 years ago and having lived in Thailand for 6 years, I was very impressed by the food and authenticity of it. I was very pleased to go back again last night, but the food wasn't as good, sadly. It was fine, but not outstanding. It's a great concept though. The staff and service was excellent. A couple of things which left a bad taste were the refusal to serve tap water, and the price of it at the end. In a restaurant with spicy food there should be at the very least one caraffe of water on the table. I don't want to pay 6.90 euros for a bottle of still water. Maybe they could reduce the amount for a bottle of water, as it is not a 5 star restaurant. Or better still, serve tap water. We were in London last weekend and ate out 4 times, not one pub or restaurant made us buy water if we asked for tap. Additionally, I asked for ' prik nam pla' which is a tiny bowl of fish sauce ( from a bottle) with some chili chopped in it. That was another 2 Euros on the bill! In Thailand, this is on every table along with dried chilli, and it's the equivalent of asking for ketchup or mayonnaise. This is really trying to grab money from you. Our bill was 130 Euros for 2, so we were not nursing one beer each the whole night. It's a nice place, but not...

Was it bad for someone like me whois familiar with Thailand and its variety of Thai cuisine since the mid 80’s ? No , it was okay , acceptable but not great . For example I sent back the famous Tomyamkung aka sour shrimp soup of Thailand cause it looked at tasted like some Chinese spicy soup from Chongjin. The Padkrapao nue , spicy beef , was okay but the red curry chicken was great and worth Thai level . The dinner visit was okay , acceptable , nothing more ,...
Read moreI appreciate that I am informed that there is only a fixed menu when I got in. However, I would be even more appreciated if I am informed that the main course is spicy, when I ask whether any dish in the set is spicy when I was ordering. The answer I got is "not spicy at all". But two of the four small dishes in the main course has the word "spicy" in its later description. I am informed that the visa card is not accepted in this restaurant. Indeed, no major card, probably beside the local card is accepted.
Regarding the other information that might be useful, tap water is not provided. I would say the price is two times higher compared to the food quality. Also, when I complained that the food, that was described as not spicy, is a bit spicy, the waitress simply walked away.
I suggest thinking twice before going...
