Tasca Plein Oost — Restaurant in Rotterdam

Tasca Plein Oost has always been one of our favorite spots in Rotterdam, so it was an easy choice for our wedding dinner. The food is fantastic — always creative, always delicious — and the atmosphere is relaxed yet special. We had the Chef’s Table (8 dishes served over 4 courses) and it was absolutely perfect.

With guests from all over the world, expectations were high, and Tasca delivered beyond them. Service was attentive, warm, and impeccable — Jelmer in particular was a star, listening to us and making everything smooth and flexible both in the planning and on the evening itself. The wine list is excellent, and the entire experience left us (and our guests!) so impressed.

The main protagonist of this joint is the Mibrasa charcoal oven ♨️🪵 All dishes are cooked in this thing. Pimientos de padrón 🌶 red beets, burgers 🍔, flat iron steaks from Miguel Vergara🥩, Dorades 🐟. You name it. All dishes are meant to be shared. Probably after one bite you don’t want to. But hey, you’re a polite person😎.

. Very easy to find. In a few words, my husband and I had a wonderful time. It was a Cosy vibe, not stiff, not too forced , just the right amount of professionalism. The quality of the food and the price hits really the right spot.
