Elliniko — Restaurant in Rotterdam

Tried to get to this place two times. First time was seated at the corner where there was a bad smell. So I left because I thought it was just not ok to pay my money for that.

Second time went with a friend to have drinks. After a few min of enjoying our beers the waiter came and said the kitchen was about to close so she offered to order sth. We refused and she said we actually HAD TO do it because the place is for BOTH good and drinks only. It felt like we were scolded for not ordering at the expense of our own money.

And of course we were supposed to know it because it was said on the menu or google (no, it was not).

But what made the situation worse was that the place was actually closing. So it seemed like they were pushing people to leave (cleaning up the place etc. I’m sure I would not have enjoyed the food in such conditions even if I had ordered something.

So my recommendation is to find a place with more...

Every time we visit this place, there is always something coming wrong on the table from our order.

But today, it was the last time I was visiting them.

I ordered a big chicken gyros pita with tirokafteri sauce, and what did I get instead of that? A small pita, with the basic sauce inside and the tirokafteri sauce apart in a separate plate.

The biggest disappointment came afterwards on the receipt. The sauce costed almost as much as another pita.

I really didn't mind the quality of the food, it was just ok. I don't have high expectations. But when you order something the minimum you expect to get is at least the right order.

Extremely disappointed....

P.S: the toilet is also a huge mess. There is only one and it is totally disgusting.

The Greek restaurant shows promise, with a mix of hits and misses. The tzatziki sauce left much to be desired, tasting oddly stale, possibly hinting at less-than-fresh ingredients. However, the experience took a turn when XL orders arrived identical to regular ones. Upon inquiry, the waitress acknowledged the error, attributing it to forgetfulness. Despite being charged the regular price, the oversight was disappointing. Such lapses can mar an otherwise enjoyable dining experience. In the future, attention to detail in both food preparation and order accuracy could elevate this...
