I have been in the business industry for 24 years and have never seen such rude employees, with no respect for their clients. I saw this shop online and wanted to try the traditional Dutch pancakes. Taste-wise, they didn’t taste like anything. Adding a few strawberries on top or any other toppings costs an extra 2€. After we received the pancakes, we went to sit at a table at their terraces and a very rude employee asked us to leave or “Go! You guys need to leave. Now.” in his exact words, just because we asked for the pancakes to be served in a takeout box. I never leave bad reviews and if it weren’t for this specific employee’s tone, I would’ve ignored the unhygienic way one of the employees accidentally dipped his hand in the batter when trying to turn the pancakes with his tool, or the bland taste of the pancakes. The way we were treated so poorly left a bad aftertaste for us and we kept thinking about our bad experience in Rotterdam for hours after we left. Not...

I went several times and nobody told me they have a playarea for kids on the first floor!! I discovered it myself! It looks odd everytime i go there’ s nobody upstairs! Maybe because they tell everyone it’s almost closed (just 4 pm). I told them they close at 6 so i’m using the playarea! I asked also to talk to the owner but the manager told me it’ was absolutely not possible for me to talk to him!! Sooo ‘ owner’ i want you to know they’r Not working for your interest!! I think they’r just lazy to go up and down!! I want to add that that day i had to go downstairs to pay the bill ! They do have a mobile POS they’r using outside., but not upstairs!! Is there a reason or it is such a stupid rule?? No answer! Oct 2024 - we come here every year, it is probably the highest standard of mini Dutch pancakes / poffertjes in a city setting in all of Holland. The locals love the traditional icing sugar plus butter variant. It never goes wrong. Only qualm is that there are customers smoking while seated outdoors but their interior seats are to warm and detached to enjoy the street ambience. Maybe they can have a more dedicated or segregated smoker seating area. The ongoing construction works also cause the smokers smoke to trap within the narrow street.
