Small restaurant, 10 tables only but with decent distance between the tables. Very good and enjoyable food experience. Dishes are made of good quality fresh ingredients. Parma ham is excellent. Their own homemade bread is really good. Portions are on a small side. However, 5 course menu (together with their amuse breead+ butter&oil) was enough for us. They offer 2 types of menus: meat and fish. Both are good, although I would prefer the fish menu. We took half glass wine arrangement - very good quality wines. Service is attentive and professional. Read moreStumbled in here after we found out Matroos en het Meisje was full and what a wonderful 'geluk bij een ongeluk' it was. The menu is simple: each course you can only pick out of 2 options and every option is done extremely well. It was a flavour explosion that I can still remember to this day. The service was excellent, they even managed to change courses on the spot because my partner couldn't eat mussels - and the alternative was flavourful and matched the fish course perfectly! It's about €50 per person for the meal.

Read moreI cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Salvatore is an artist and brings the flavours of Sicily to the table in a way that I have never seen before. The food is creative without being pretentious and most importantly it was so delicious. We did the 6 course tasting menu with half wine pairing and were so happy we did. I also was impressed with the service and frankly I do not get to say that as often as I would like in the Netherlands. If I lived in Rotterdam this would be on my favourites list, and I would happily train from Utrecht to eat here again....
