I am far overdue in writing this review, but Tres was such an amazing experience that I couldn't leave these things unsaid. I had the good fortune to dine at Tres in June. There were 3 of us that were traveling from the US across a few cities in Europe for a couple of weeks. We ate at multiple restaurants with Michelin stars or comparable, and Tres stands out far above the rest. From the unique dining experience in multiple stages throughout the restaurant to the thoughtful wine pairings (which were outstanding), and most importantly the exceptional preparation of the menu. I had the regular menu while my wife requested vegetarian. Often we find the vegetarian menu is just the regular menu with a vegetable in place of the meat. Not at Tres, where each dish was obviously contemplated with as much care as everything else in the restaurant. Eating here is absolutely a must if you get the chance, the food is experimental and perfected, flavors are unique and balanced and the atmosphere and service is next level.
Going here was fantastic, and the only flaw I can give tres is the wine pairing. The wines on their own are for the most part magnificent and unique. But they do not pair well with the food. A true wine pairing should allow the food to elevate the taste of the wine and vice versa. However a sip of the wine would cut through the flavor of the food quite roughly.

Read moreI honestly had to dig deep into my memory to recall the last time I was this surprised by food. With every course, my eyes grew wider and my taste buds danced somewhere between amazement, happy giggles, and learning something entirely new.
We felt embraced and completely cared for. This team – incredibly present, focused, and beautifully connected through the stories behind each dish – didn’t just cook for us, they moved us. So much love and perfection, yet never cold.
