EVE Scheveningen — Restaurant in The Hague

The place looks freshly renovated, very clean, and has a really nice design. It felt great to sit on their comfy couches on a warm summer evening, enjoying the sunset - such a relaxing vibe!

The service was okay, like most places in the Netherlands.

The food was a bit of a mixed bag for me. The LOADED FRIES were a solid choice — good quality and came with three tasty sauce options.

I didn’t enjoy the JAPANESE AUBERGINES though; it lacked flavor, and even the greens around it couldn’t save the dish. Honestly, supermarket salads taste better.

My favorite was the BEEF TATAKI — fresh and tender, though not the best I’ve ever had. Definitely only for those who enjoy semi-raw meat!

The BAO BUN KIP had tasty chicken, but the bun itself was too soft and mushy for my taste.

Wow, this place is the place to be in Scheveningen. Starts with the arcitecture of the building , the interior design an the location really on the beach. Very friendly and easy going stuff, they like their job. Champagne ice cold, oysters fresh, a good start for diner. Main course steak, served perfect on the point. Recomandation, a red wine from Mondavia, yes Mondavia , not Mondavi 🍷😀🤣Tried the wine by 15 Degrees Temparature and he was perfect. Like the very good German Spätburgunder. So place and stuff and kitchen are very good and they just opened the place 2 weeks ago. Also sunset is breathtaking on the big terrace with perfect outdoor furnitures. Had lunch at Eve in Scheveningen and the experience was a mix of highs and lows. The food was excellent — we ordered the Burrata salad, salmon sandwich, and croquette bites, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Definitely well-prepared and enjoyable.

Unfortunately, the service was quite underwhelming. Staff didn’t check on us at all during the meal — we had to flag them down each time we needed something, which was frustrating.

Also worth noting: portion sizes are fairly small. If you’re really hungry, you might leave wanting more.

That said, the location is beautiful, and based on the quality of the food alone, I’d consider visiting again — just hoping for more attentive...
