Strandrestaurant Werelds — Restaurant in The Hague

Ordered Portugese Caldeirada with 4 kinds of fishes. Before ordering the dish, confirmed if the fishes were fully cooked and not smoked to which the waiter(who took our order) said "They are baked in the oven, so yes fully cooked". Only to receive the dish with uncooked Salmon - also cut it open and showed to the waiter(one who took our complaint) the uncooked portion. Few moments later the waiter (who took our order) comes back and refuses to acknowledge our complaint that the Salmon was left uncooked. Although he took the dish price off our bill, he refused to take another order from us when we tried to place an order for Belgian waffles as we were still hungry. He said "The orders are closed for you. My manager has told not to serve you anymore". On asking if we could speak to the manager, he refused saying "He has other customers to service". So the summary is there was no appetite for customer feedback and greviences and even they refused service. There are so many other customer friendly restaurants and beach clubs we have been to in Scheveningen and it was surprising to receive this low maturity in the management of this one off restaurant in handling customers grievances. Oh yes, and if you like flies in your drink please do visit this hygenic, super friendly and respectful place.

Very poor service. Very rude staff. No napkin/ silver ware on the table. Takes too long to serve dinner.When we try to write our experience online, the owner replies so rude and unprofessional and even warns the customer to stay away from the restaurant. Even if some staff member tries to help you they are helpless due to some very rude ones. I feel sorry for them but thanks at least you tried. Please stay away from this restaurant. There are plenty of other places which offers good food and great customer service in the city. We paid the full bill amount without touching our main course, which was by the way served too late. If you ask for your food, they say the customer is interrupting or rude.No matter what, avoid this place. Spoils the mood even after you have left the place. So if I could, I would rate it zero. My wife and I visited Wereld's on the first night of our holiday to Scheveningen. It was not the first time we had visited the town but Wereld's stood out from the other restaurants we had previously visited. We ate there 5 days out of 7. The food was excellent especially the ribs, tournedos, hip hung steak and the sate. The staff were exemplary. Rik, Carmen, Wesley, Tung (I think that was his name), Oliver and Carl could not have done more for us and Marco the owner also made time for us. It made a very good holiday even better when we received service and quality of food like that (thanks Chef and your brigade).
