Foodhall Scheveningen — Restaurant in The Hague

Even though the Boulevard of Scheveningen is seen as a tourist attraction by locals, this spot was worth a try. It’s a bit small for a foodhall, but the atmosphere is there.

I’ve ordered at the Dim Sum place (Wan Tsum), the sushi place, the Vietnamese street food place (Saigon), the Oyster place (Oesterbar) and the churros place. Please don’t judge.

The sushi is great and the personnel friendly. They even gave us advice on how to eat the spicy tuna sushi. The sushi itself was both spicy and fresh.

At Wan Tsum - the dim sum place - we had egg custard buns. Very fluffy and great filling-to-bun ratio.

Churros are crispy and fluffy on the inside. Loved it.

The Vietnamese vendor was having a phone call during our order and misunderstood the amount. In hindsight he might’ve tried to protect us, as the portions of the “Bao Wow” were humongous. The bao’s were fluffy and the tofu crispy. They felt light even though 1 of the buns could fill my full hand.

The French oysters were super fresh and delicious at Oesterbar. I know it isn’t everyone’s taste, but if you enjoy it this is a recommended place. They cleaned it well. No sand. Nice toppings you could add yourself and a smooth glide into our tummies.

The first thing that caught my attention was the incredible variety of food options available. From delectable sushi to mouthwatering burgers and everything in between, there was something to satisfy every craving.

However, it's important to mention that the prices at Foodhall Sheveningen are on the higher side. While the quality of the food was decent, the overall value for money was a bit disappointing. It's worth considering your budget before indulging in the diverse culinary offerings.

Another aspect to keep in mind is the limited seating options, especially during peak hours. Depending on the time of your visit, finding a place to sit and enjoy your meal might be a bit challenging. So, it's advisable to plan accordingly or consider taking your food to-go.

Despite these drawbacks, I found the atmosphere at Foodhall Sheveningen to be quite pleasant. The vibrant decor and lively ambiance created an enjoyable dining experience.

Horrible experience ordering drinks from the bar at Friday night (08/09/2023). I ordered a simple caipirinha and it took them 50 minutes to deliver. They dont respect the order of requests, as lots of people were being served before me, despite having ordered 25 minutes later. When asked about the drinks, the bartender(blond guy with long hair) would reply in a very rude way to the customers, who are just expecting to get what they paid for! The lady was not much different: she literally told me SHUT UP because I answered a question from another customer who was, of course, asking for her drink. My girlfriend also ordered a caipirinha 30 minutes after me. This one took one hour! And once we asked about the drinks, the bartender simply said: but I just gave your drink! Well, APARENTLY I CANT HAVE TWO ORDERS. The manager is also incompetent: two employees with no people's skills behind the bar, overloaded and being rude to everyone. As we spoke to him about the issue, he didnt do anything......
