I was there today and I really liked the ambience. Service was fast and even though many reviews complained about the unfriendly staff, I was pretty happy with the way they treated me. I read online that they had some vegan dishes, that is why I took the longer walk to get there and the waiter explained my opinions. I ordered Bun Chay and it arrived very fast. However, my first waiter noticed that the spring rolls aren't vegan and asked if he could replace my dish. I found this rather reassuring, showing me they know what vegan food means. However, upon taking away the dish, I was greeted by a cockroach, that must have stuck under the bowl. I alerted a waiter and showed him the cockroach that by now had wandered of the table and fell onto the floor. They left the cockroach there and offered that I could change seats. Since I am not super squeemish and since moving won't change the underlying issue, I stayed at my seat and tried to enjoy my food. The food was decent, not the best Bun I had, but still pretty good. While paying, I honestly expected that they at least apologize again, reassure me they will check this out again, or maybe tell me that food is on the house, but there was nothing. I guess I should have complained more vigorously and asked for the boss, or the cook, but I'm not that good in making a fuss. I still really wonder how a living cockroach could be stuck to a plate that came directly from the kitchen. Hopefully this was one off a time thing, or they reevaluate their hygiene. I will likely not be...

Maybe because I’ve tasted better Vietnamese dishes, the food here is kinda hit and missed. Pho soup is bland but when the complimentary sauce (hoisin and sriracha) were added, it tasted good. For the pork belly is also the case, without the hoisin and sriracha it was lifeless. Also, the pork had quite a lot of inedible char burned to the point that only half of it that was edible. Bo la lot was the worst, it tasted below average. Good thing the Vietnamese coffee is still somewhat enjoyable. The place itself was too dark to read the menu, so need to turn on the flashlight. Decor is full with mixed cultural stuffs from mother Mary to Korean puppet and Balinese garuda statue. Quite dusty and very warm too inside so it’s better to eat outside. The service was slow and the waiters were inattentive. There were many waiters that seemed to be walking from one point to another without doing anything. Able to order after calling 5 different waiters and when it’s time to pay, again, called 4 different people just to get the bill. So 3 stars for the pho and the sauces and the coffee. All in all, it was not the experience expected after coming highly recommended...

First time trying Vietnamese food. We had the little v starters, the Pho soup and Bún with shrimp and pork. We had spring rolls, deep fried rolls, fish and some chicken with strawberry jam. The rolls and fish were great, the strawberry jam was weird with the chicken. The Pho soup wasn't really to our taste (we prefer ramen as it's more flavorful). The Búns were great though. Super tasty and the mixture of noodles and veggies was spot on. The service was relatively fast and the waiters were all nice and polite. They had a few hiccups with bringing two mains at the same time, but they realized this quickly and took the other main back. The atmosphere is nice. There is a bit of space between the tables which is quite nice. We don't really like to rub shoulders with other people when eating. A downside is the lighting. A bit too dim. Our chandelier only had one working light (out of at least 6, if I counted correctly). Overall, the food was nice with good quality ingredients. It's just that with some flavors we don't really agree. Oh, and you can also take your leftovers home. They pack them for you, which again is very nice.
