Sapore — Restaurant in The Hague

I recently visited this Italian restaurant, and unfortunately, it was a major disappointment. The food was far from authentic, and the flavors were lacking. The carbonara was completely bland—there was no taste at all, and to make matters worse, it was overcooked. The pasta was mushy, and it lacked the creamy, savory depth you expect from a carbonara. The arrabbiata was even worse—so salty it was almost inedible.

To top off the poor experience, they charged us extra, claiming it was for fresh pasta. However, the pasta was anything but fresh, which felt like a deceptive tactic. Additionally, they brought a vegetable plate that wasn’t even on the menu and charged us an outrageous 28 euros for it.

Despite the chef’s passionate claims about serving real Neapolitan food, it was clear that the quality didn’t match the hype. This restaurant definitely doesn’t live up to its Italian food promises and certainly isn’t worth a visit if you’re looking for an authentic...

I didn't like the approach of the waitress who was in the same time cooker.She was really bored and I didn't see any passion in what she was doing.For cappuccino I had to ask sugar...by the way... no brown sugar...and also I had to ask extra parmesan for tagliatelle with shrimp's. The taste was let's say 5 from 10, no flavor at all. Comparing with the restaurant Passion from Ghent where I had fettuncini with shrimp's, the plate that You will see in my post is a bad joke. No offence for the people that are doing this business but there are more to learn in terms of sapore(taste)...by the way...where is Sapore???:-))) The picture look good for two reasons: I have a very good camera and second I put a lot of parmesan on top! Ordered dinner for two on their own website for takeaway. Upon payment received an email saying I could collect it in 45 mins. Got there to collect and the chef irritably states that he’s very busy and has not started the order yet and I should have told him a day in advance. Then tells me that the shrimp is sold out and offered calamari instead. The other order was supposed to be the Manzo alla Genovese, but I got chopped meatballs instead of beef (see pics). The potatoes were stone cold and were awful. Had to wait 30 mins for him to cook everything. The tiramisu was pretty good though. Never again will order...
