Our visit to the Japanese show cooking in Scheveningen was a culinary experience with an unforgettable atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the live cooking added a unique touch to the evening. However, the level of showmanship varied among the chefs—some put on a more impressive performance than others. While all chefs followed the basic routine, the luck of the draw can impact your experience.

We chose menu 203 and 204, which, although not exactly cheap, offered a solid selection. That said, for the price, we expected slightly larger portions. Some dishes were quite minimal, leaving us wanting more.

Not what it used to be... I have been going to this restaurant with my family for years and with time it didn't get better. Portions got smaller, prices slightly higher. There is more sauce on the food, but the main problem for us this last time was the wait. We had to wait for our chef for almost an hour and when he showed up he did not finish preparing all of the food, but switched to another table. After we and another family at our table waited for more than half an hour, we complained twice and only then another chef showed up. That was on Saturday when the restaurant was fully booked so the managers could not have been surprised by the number of guests. Such things simply spoil the experience. It’s not worth coming to this place for the price of food they serve and it takes forever ever. I mean, 3 hours for the whole lousy presentation and the chief cook food in between your meal in front of you for a different table order. Which is a BIG NO NO! This should only be at least an hour and half without any cooking interruption for different tables order...No wonder why they’re on “social deal” which is not really a deal.
