BIGBELL, GRAND CAFÉ, STEAKHOUSE, LIVE MUSIC — Restaurant in The Hague

Total disappointment — I do NOT recommend this place!

We visited BIGBELL, GRAND CAFÉ, STEAKHOUSE, LIVE MUSIC and were extremely disappointed.

Here’s what we ordered: • Starters: Carpaccio (€13.95) and bread with garlic sauce (€6.65) • Mains: I had the entrecôte steak (€24.95) and a Porn Star Martini, my partner had the Double Trouble Burger (€29.95) and a mojito • We also ordered sparkling water, which was fine — nothing bad to say about that.

Unfortunately, almost everything else went wrong.

— The wait for the food was long. — The carpaccio was partially frozen and completely tasteless. — The bread came as 6 mini buns with such a tiny portion of garlic sauce that it didn’t even cover 4 of them. — The main dishes arrived barely warm — it felt like they were just defrosted and microwaved. Both the burger and entrecôte were bland and flavorless. The only thing served hot was the fries, but even they were tasteless, unsalted, and came without any sauce. — My Porn Star Martini was served spilled over the rim, in a dirty glass, and the half-passion fruit inside was frozen — I’ve never seen anything like it. — The mojito was watery and weak, not enjoyable at all.

With these prices and expectations, this was a complete failure. Think twice before eating here — I definitely won’t be...

Went here for dinner with my girlfriend last night. I waited like 5 mins or more and noticed that there was no staff i had to go to the back waited there in the entrance to see if i could spot staff eventually 1 guy came.later Asked the waiter if the hamburger of the chef was bacon or different because am not allowed to eat bacon. He said its beef so i ordered it after the 3th bite i noticed the taste they put bacon on the omelet. When i confonted the waiter he said yes there is bacon in it. He said to forget to say it and that it is written on the menu but it isnt the only test there is Hamburger of the chef. So he really ruined my evening that day. Besides this i ordered for french bread with herd butter the bred was cold usually they bring it warmed up. For the people who will wonder what ot matter about the bacon i am a muslim so yes i am not allowed to eat bacon. And his solution was take out the omelet with bacon on it in other words a never ever again for me or my girlfriend. And if any other muslims read this i advise you to stay away from this tent also.

I worked also in the restaurant in a 5star hotel so i know how it works and this place doesnt...

We were greeted very nicely, unfortunately that was the only thing that was nice. We waited forever to be served and even after we waved to get attention, we still had to ask to see the menu. The server himself, didn’t even bring the food. (The servers who brought the food and drinks were very nice) No one asked how our food was until the end and when I said it was ok (it really was nothing special) he asked again if it was good and had this really rude undertone in his voice. (Grown man I‘m talking about) When we asked for the bill all the other tables around us got served or got the bill before us even though they asked after us. We had to remind him again and he didn’t even wait at the table while we paid. Never setting foot in this place again and DO NOT RECCOMEND this to anyone who wants to have...
