I happened to go here because of how beautiful their macrons and cakes looked. Up until this point in my life I always thought I hated the taste of macaroons but their macaroons were delicious. The raspberry and green tea one were my favourite. While drinking coffee I decided to try the raspberry and lemon tart. I have never seen such a beautiful shiny glowing half globe of a cake and I was pleasantly surprised. The cake had such refreshing flavours, the colour was pretty and not overly done, as for the texture it was indescribably delicate(?). She would not listen when I was ordering, she would pretend she forgot my order and she would not even ask if I wanted to serve the food there or to go, she just assumed it was to go. I noticed she had the same behaviour with other people who didn't speak Dutch, but she would laugh and be very polite and careful with Dutch speaking people. I always try to avoid buying from there when I see that she is on duty. Very disappointing. Other than that, the cakes are pretty okay and other people working there...
Read moreI wanted to try the tompouce and the apple pie the most but it turned out to be a disappointment. The pie crust was hard and dry; the tompouce, while superior to Hema’s, was equally tasteless. Both custard and whipped cream had no flavour, even though you could see it had real vanilla. The carrot cake was delicious, the rolled croissant was average and tiny. The citroen koek and croissants were good. The products were all fresh and the price is on the steep side, which I would gladly pay if it was worth it. Overall, an overrated bakery, guess the good name is because what the competence offers is still inferior, though neither is...
