The staff insults guests!
Dear pizzeria employees, if a guest does not speak Dutch, this does not mean that he does not understand Dutch and you have the right to insult us (unfortunately, Google donât give permission, tell directly what was saying) behind our backs when other guests understand you! This is humiliating!!!!!!
Situation: I was in this pizzeria with my daughter. We asked about the availability of a table and were offered one, but were told that there was a reservation for it at 18:00. We had 1 hour and 20 minutes to eat our pizza. We made it in 45 minutes, paid and left. On the way, my daughter told me that the people working there were very bad and she didnât want to come there anymore. To my question "why?" she replied that the staff called us with the bad words. We were very polite, smiling and left a tip. All bill was around 70 euro. When the waiter made a mistake and brought us one plate for two (we asked from beginning two plates to share a pizza and salad because we not eat too much, but we want to try menu), we told her not to worry and that we could handle it without bothering her. What have we done to deserve this attitude towards ourselves????
My only regret is that my daughter didn't tell me about it when we were there. In this case, I would directly contact these persons, administration and the owner of...
Read moreWeâve had series of unfortunate events during our visit. Not worth going back. There are other pizza places in Zaandam that deserves attention.
We were offered a seat next to the kitchen as we had no reservation. It was all fine until when weâre about to order, they asked us to transfer to the bar because it was apparently the table was reserved. Itâs forgivable until.. Pizza came - the red pizza was good but the tartufo was dry and tasted nothing like tartufo. We were hungry so we ate it anyway with extra spicy olive oil. Ordered Tiramisu. It was dry. Period. Ordered affogato. The waitress asked if I want amaretto with it. It was unusual but am willing to try so went for it. When served, it didnât taste like it had the liquer so I asked if they put the liquer in - they said they did so fine. Then all of a sudden another waitress just pulled my espresso cup and poured the liquer in it. The espresso became diluted with the liquer as we already finished half of it so it tasted purely like alcohol - no apologies and the waitress was combative. Not worth the additional cost.
It wouldâve been great if there was an apology. I understand the restaurant is busy and Iâm usually very patient to restaurant staff. This time, itâs not really acceptable especially for the price we had to pay. At least have the decency to...
Read moreThis is the second I came here since moving to Zaandam to take away pizza. This time I ordered up front to pick up. Upon entering we sat down at the take away bar right away and it was amazing how one person was constantly busy right in front of us without even saying hello or good evening. It was almost as if he was even trying to avoid our faces. Other colleagues also walked by and there was literally nobody to say something. If it's busy, at least acknowledge that we're there and just say: be rigt with you. Our pizzas were finished and we heard the cook say my name, if we didn't, they would have had no idea it was for us! If I didn't pay for the pizza's online already, I would have walked away! The woman just stared at the pizzas, wondering who they were for, not turning around to see if there was someone waiting. I had to yell that it was for probably for me.
The first we went here for take away, there also wasn't really service.
I'm giving it three stars because the pizza's are really good. But I would not go...
