I was really looking forward to dinning at Azzuro Mission Bay after reading its' reviews. Unfortunately, the restaurant did not at all meet my expectations. Upon walking in, we were greeted with a warm smile. I cannot question or argue against the overall quality of customer service provided. Only let down was that our table was not prepared before our arrival even though we had made a reservation in advance. In regards to the atmosphere, it felt light hearted and warm. Not too bad for a restaurant that provides both lunch and dinning experience. Now to the important part, the food. I must say this was the let down of the night. While the menu has a fair range to choose from and sounds delicious upon reading its' description. I cannot say the same about the taste. I ordered a selection of one of their three pasta options and the level of disappointment I felt once it arrived in front of me was a let down to say the least. The dish lacked vibrancy as well as taste. There was just no love on the plate for each of the ingredients. My family ordered some dishes as well as some side dishes. Overall, just lacking flavor and love. It is disappointing because I was very excited to taste the food after reading...
Read moreAbsolutely loved my dining experience at this restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, enhanced by tasteful decor and a cozy atmosphere.
The menu featured a delightful array of dishes that highlighted the rich flavors of various European countries. I tried the beef bourguignon, and it was incredibly tender, infused with aromatic herbs and spices, served with a side of perfectly creamy mashed potatoes. My partner raved about the fresh seafood paella, which was bursting with flavor and generously portioned.
To complement our meal, we explored their crafted beer selection. Each beer was expertly brewed, with a unique character that paired beautifully with our dishes. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, offering perfect pairing suggestions and ensuring our glasses were never empty.
Dessert was the cherry on top—a classic tiramisu that was heavenly! Overall, this restaurant provided an unforgettable culinary journey, and I can't wait to return. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates quality...
Read moreBooked to dine on First Table. After our meal we were charged the full price for the meal. A while after ordering our meal a waitress came to say that our soft drinks were not part of First Table. As frequent users of First Table we indicated the we were aware that drinks are full price. We were then surprised when settling the bill, that we had to order cocktails / mocktails or alcohol to qualify for the First Table deal. The staff member taking payment was very hostile when we queried the bill, saying that it was in their terms and conditions. We do not usually read the terms and conditions just to have a meal. The manager who took our order for the meal and drinks should have made it clear to us at that point, knowing that we had booked on First Table, but he said nothing of the sort. Of all the times that we have dined out on First Table we have never come across such conditions. Seems to be...
