Food is amazing, atmosphere is good but service is pathetic, wanted to try Jalsa for the first time, booked table for shisha and dining online, got a confirmation of booking. Got there being told u booked only 30 minutes ago and we dont have a table and made us sit in a corner very uncomfortable yet we were still ok, ordered starters, waited an hour and we still were ok then shisha came with a loose pipe and were told they will sort it out and we were still ok, called staffs numerous times for time frame on entree, for plates and cutlery (we waited 15 minutes for it to be given after entree came through and by that time food was cold) till now we still kept our calm, when we couldnt do shisha properly thats when my partner passed his frustration level as we wanted a good night so ealled the manager Arpit to sort it and my partner asked him to take the whole shisha away and sort it out but the manager turned around and asked us why we are using a anger tone on him and when we started explaining then he got someone else to assist us and walked away. I work at a bank as a manager and i know what customer service is so i went back inside to speak to the manager who walked out on us and while explaining him the situation he told me how is our experience his problem as he has not been dealing with us. Arpit is a part of Jalsa and an unhappy customer is his problem especially as a manager, he asked me how is he suppose to know if my partner is drunk or not, first of all he was on 1 beer only but what had it to do with our situation, if we have a manager like that then good luck to Jalsa as i dont see where the business will lead to but on a plus point manager on duth Yuvraj is an amazing staff. Definitely will be back because of his service, he is surely a...
Read moreFood was delicious, however the customer service for us was poor. We had dinner at Jalsa last night. Staff wasn't welcoming at all. When we entered there wasn't anyone to attend us, my husband started to look around to see where we could be able to sit comfortably with our child. Then a person started calling on my husband like heyy...heyyy....very casually as if he should not be there. They prioritise obviously certain customers sitting in open area. We were served only to take order once and when they placed food on our table. We especially told the person who came to take order that we want drinks first and food afterwards. They put food on the table first even without placing dinnerware. Seemed like they were rushing for something else and that is more important. After that nobody came to ask if we need more breads or water. Even we waited if someone could be around to get some water. Everyone was busy in serving shisha or so.. I appreciate that they had live music, however, too loud if you are willing to spend some family time because you have to scream to talk to the person sitting next to you. Definitely not a family friendly place. They really need to revise...
Read moreMy wife (she is Indian) and I went here for lunch on a public holiday. The place was quiet, only 4 or 5 tables were filled. The extensive use of plastic vegetation was unique, but overdone. Some real plants would not have gone amiss. We ordered 2 x Mango Lassi, 1 x butter Naan, 1 x chicken kebab. The Lassi came within 5 minitues of ordering. They were heavily sweetened, with too much rose water and topped with shaved almond and desicated coconut. Not very authentic. At $9 each they were not good. The food took 45 minutes to arrive. The Naan was half raw, as in not cooked to a puffy state which you would expect from a tandoor item. It was doughy. The Kebab was almost cold and was over salted. The chutney that acompanied the kebab was also heavily salted. Not appetising. When I paid the bill, the attendant had no interest in asking how our meals were, or even looked me in the eye. He just handed me the bill and accepted payment, then went back to cleaning glasses. Overall it was a dissappointing experience. We have eaten in many many establishments of all cultures. This one is not worth the money or time, in...
