Worst experience 1/10 Reason —> 1. This place is always busy and always short staff we went there today on Valentine and i realise it was big mistake. We have booked it online but that thing is useless they told us it’s fully booked they gave us the table in hall. 2. We were waiting for food more than an hour and There was no water at our table. 3. I told the staff by going personally three times how long it will take for the food to get ready. 4. Finally when they served the food then they took another 15 minutes to bring the cutlery and plates. Roti and Naan become very hard which is so hard to eat then. 5. One lady was working really hard running here and there in that busy environment was so embarrassing please increase her pay rate she was the only kind person there. 6. They consider only the big tables first like more than 10 people if you are two or four don’t make the mistake to go there. Recommendation —> increase your staff number and order prepare time and welcome your guest kindly.

Jalsa was well decorated for Diwali as evidenced by pictures. The cocktail "Galat" was worth the second glass! The food was exemplary and tasted better than what you get at Auckland Indian eateries ! Compliments to the Chef - he / she churned out food good enough to eat. The service was charming and I even got a "Happy Diwali Maam"! which did not go amiss!. Nothing was cheap - so not an every Friday dining place for most of us! All good until the end - Unfortunately, whoever was at the counter did not honour our valid vouchers for The Promenade - I have made a complaint to The Promenade as to why Jalsa is listed amongst the eateries of The Mission Bay Promenade, when they refused to honour the vouchers - We won't be going there again!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "Absolutely loved my experience at Jalsa Restaurant! From the moment I stepped in, the warm and inviting ambiance made me feel right. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring every need was met with a smile. The menu offers a delightful mix of flavors — each dish was bursting with authentic taste and beautifully presented. The standout for me was the Jalsa Special Drink and Curries, which was perfectly spiced and cooked to perfection. Whether you're looking for a cozy dinner or a lively gathering, Shisha & bar at Jalsa Restaurant is the perfect spot. Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious food and exceptional service. I can't wait to return!

Food is amazing, atmosphere is good but service is pathetic, wanted to try Jalsa for the first time, booked table for shisha and dining online, got a confirmation of booking. Got there being told u booked only 30 minutes ago and we dont have a table and made us sit in a corner very uncomfortable yet we were still ok, ordered starters, waited an hour and we still were ok then shisha came with a loose pipe and were told they will sort it out and we were still ok, called staffs numerous times for time frame on entree, for plates and cutlery (we waited 15 minutes for it to be given after entree came through and by that time food was cold) till now we still kept our calm, when we couldnt do shisha properly thats when my partner passed his frustration level as we wanted a good night so ealled the manager Arpit to sort it and my partner asked him to take the whole shisha away and sort it out but the manager turned around and asked us why we are using a anger tone on him and when we started explaining then he got someone else to assist us and walked away. I work at a bank as a manager and i know what customer service is so i went back inside to speak to the manager who walked out on us and while explaining him the situation he told me how is our experience his problem as he has not been dealing with us. Arpit is a part of Jalsa and an unhappy customer is his problem especially as a manager, he asked me how is he suppose to know if my partner is drunk or not, first of all he was on 1 beer only but what had it to do with our situation, if we have a manager like that then good luck to Jalsa as i dont see where the business will lead to but on a plus point manager on duth Yuvraj is an amazing staff. Definitely will be back because of his service, he is surely a...

Food was delicious, however the customer service for us was poor. We had dinner at Jalsa last night. Staff wasn't welcoming at all. When we entered there wasn't anyone to attend us, my husband started to look around to see where we could be able to sit comfortably with our child. Then a person started calling on my husband like heyy...heyyy....very casually as if he should not be there. They prioritise obviously certain customers sitting in open area. We were served only to take order once and when they placed food on our table. We especially told the person who came to take order that we want drinks first and food afterwards. They put food on the table first even without placing dinnerware. Seemed like they were rushing for something else and that is more important. After that nobody came to ask if we need more breads or water. Even we waited if someone could be around to get some water. Everyone was busy in serving shisha or so.. I appreciate that they had live music, however, too loud if you are willing to spend some family time because you have to scream to talk to the person sitting next to you. Definitely not a family friendly place. They really need to revise...

My wife (she is Indian) and I went here for lunch on a public holiday. The place was quiet, only 4 or 5 tables were filled. The extensive use of plastic vegetation was unique, but overdone. Some real plants would not have gone amiss. We ordered 2 x Mango Lassi, 1 x butter Naan, 1 x chicken kebab. The Lassi came within 5 minitues of ordering. They were heavily sweetened, with too much rose water and topped with shaved almond and desicated coconut. Not very authentic. At $9 each they were not good. The food took 45 minutes to arrive. The Naan was half raw, as in not cooked to a puffy state which you would expect from a tandoor item. It was doughy. The Kebab was almost cold and was over salted. The chutney that acompanied the kebab was also heavily salted. Not appetising. When I paid the bill, the attendant had no interest in asking how our meals were, or even looked me in the eye. He just handed me the bill and accepted payment, then went back to cleaning glasses. Overall it was a dissappointing experience. We have eaten in many many establishments of all cultures. This one is not worth the money or time, in...
