Bone 🦴 and NO apology. Bit into a bone in the first bit of a taco 🌮. After notifying our waitress she took the plate with the bone away. Five minutes later another employee came by and explained how the cook it on the bone and there is nothing wrong with that. He did not ask if I was okay, he did not apologize. Then he offered me another taco. Yes, he told me that it's okay for them to serve tacos with bones and then offered me another. What so I could take another chance to hurt my teeth? I said well, I don't think I want another one and was i’m sure visibly upset because he made me feel like this was my fault. My wife explained to him, he bit on the bone and it hurt his teeth. After that STILL no apologies but he offered to take the tacos off the bill. 😑 After that I really would have thought a big apology would have came and that they would have taken care of the meal, which was only two plates of tacos at that time. Oh, did I mention that we were sitting at a large wooden cable spool? And they had the front legs of the chairs setting up on the edge of the spool? Yeah and when my son tried to sit down it caused him and his chair to fall back on the floor?! This also completely woke up our 1yo for our entire meal, which made it very hard to enjoy any food while your wrestling a 1yo in the other arm. So yeah thanks for that too. PS- Fish tacos were F L A V O R L E S S....
Read moreGreat place, amazing food, beautiful and unique drinks, loved the sangria, good service, BUT terrible management under level 2.
People were standing all over the place, different servers taking orders and delivering food to the same table, clearly less than 1 meter of distance between full tables, people getting into the restaurant without scanning the QR code and there wasn't any registration book to trace visitors, it was completely full and it looked like more than 100 people in the restaurant, people ordering from the counter, tables being set up without costumers, and I saw a table were there were more than 10 people.
It is horrible how they do not have any control over the place just few days after coming back from a lockdown, it looks like the restrictions of level 2 are completely jokes for them, its unacceptable how business are not cooperating and following orders given by the government, I would love to know what the council of Auckland and restaurant association thinks about this, this situation is not a joke and many countries are being terrible affected, and it should be avoided to happen in New Zealand but with this type of attitude from businesses, it looks like a they do not care about social health.
I love this place, it's incredibly good and yummy, but they should and must do...
Read moreMy Mum booked a table for 9 plus a pram for her birthday dinner. We had not been before so were not familiar with the set up. She was not told the table would be outside as - we would not have booked if that was the case.
We were given a table size for 6 people (not 9 plus place for pram) so felt cramped. It was also very cold outside as it was 12 degrees. The blankets and outdoor heaters did not help much unfortunately.
We ordered most of the entrees to share and a main each. We found the food quite bland and the serving size was not enough for a main. I also personally didn’t like the raw onion on the food and the salsas and sauces were watery and also bland. I was also disappointed that the Jalapeño poppers said it would have “6 jalapeños” but they were cut into halves so were actually 3 jalapeños not 6. It’s probably something I’ve ordered in a lot of restaurants and it’s generally a full jalapeño, especially if it specifies that on the menu.
Prices are expensive considering everything we had was more snack sized but priced as a main.
I don’t think the waiter ever asked us how everything was...
