The decor is the highlight here - open, clean, fresh and bright. We had a large group and staff were very flexible with our booking. We chose the smorgasbord this time - our second visit. The buffet food was perfectly fine, but the selection was frankly dull and conventional. The sushi bar and the European desserts baffled me. Importantly, anyone with diet restrictions might be better to eat elsewhere - the menu has no markers, and on our last visit staff seemed poorly informed about what to recommend for (specifically) gluten-free. This is the best value eatery in all of Mt Maunganui. We chose the takeaway option - a variety of as many foods from their buffet selection as you can possibly stuff into either a medium sized container for $16.50 or the large size $19.50. Every dish was great tasting and a nice selection from fried rice with shrimp , egg omelet, beef and black bean, lemon chicken, fried chicken pieces, green beans, crab sticks, spring rolls etc..
