after really looking forward to dining i was very disappointed with my experience. Firstly the wine menu was stained and grubby. we asked for replacement and it was not much better.We had to drink our water out of coffee mugs which i did not like and one was chipped. we asked for a replacement for that too. when my meal came it was incorrect which meant i had no meal for a time while my friends dinned. i had fish curry which was ok. Other friends had the duck salad which came in a bowl as large deep fried pieces of leg and breast!!the salad was really a garnish and not part of the meal at the bottom of the bowl. the sauce was very nice however. as one guest was my elderly aunt she found it difficult to eat as she had to use her fingers. not an experience she enjoyed or is used to when eating out at at a restaurant. a finger bowl was not supplied and had to use the bathroom to clean her hands. Usually love this place as the food is so good but was here 04/01/22 and the service was so bad. They took ages to serve us so that we ordered our drinks and food at the same time. They also didn’t make us aware at the start that they were out of a few popular dishes so had to choose other things. The waitress was awkward and she came to our table to clear our plates but then said “you’re still eating” and then disappeared quicker than we could stop her. We were done and wanted her to take the plates away. We waited another 15 mins trying to get someone’s attention but then gave up, paid for our meal and asked for takeaway containers for our leftovers. She took another 10 mins to come out to get the plates and to our horror she used her fingers to move a piece of food onto another plate!!! Was disgusted and horrified...
