So disappointed in this place today. We took our three-year-old grandaughter out for a fluffy, after a visit to the playground. We sat in the kids area to wait for our order. My grandaughter was looking at herself in the mirror above the seats when the back of the seat came off in her hands and knocked her onto the hard tile floor. The seat is a H&S risk and the duty manager should have apologised. However, she instead came over and blamed my grandaughter and my husband for the accident. The back of the seat is completely unattached and it will happen again. I am pretty forgiving when accidents happen but the attitude of the duty manager was less than satisfactory. Update: the business owner contacted my husband to apologise profusely and assure him that the seat would be fixed. Thank you for acknowledging the problem. I have amended the review.

Have been working in Timaru this last month and has been my go-to for coffee and food. The Spinach/Cream Cheese scroll is 👌 had about 20 haha. Disappointingly went today and ordered a chicken bacon filo and received a mushroom filo and can’t stand mushrooms. The line was out the door and was very busy so didn’t have time to let staff know. Left uneaten. Apart from that one of the best 5 star cafes in Timaru.

Nice and cozy place to have breakfast and great coffee! Sometimes I'm quite fussy but the staff was very friendly and helpful with my requests. The soy in my coffee didn't come through (might be because of caffeine deficiency ;)) but they made me a new one without any problem. Can definitely recommend!

We have dined here several times in the past, and they haven't been too bad, even though it's hard to get a nice hot coffee. The last time we were there, I was served by an extremely rude blonde woman. I asked for trim milk, and was given dark blue. When I said that I wanted trim, I was told off for being rude. How do you receive what you ask for? Where were her manners or the respect shown to the customer? Surely the customer has the right to ask for what they want don't they? As a diabetic, it's important to have Light Blue, Trim or Calci Trim. We are sick and tired of repeatedly having to ask for hot coffees rather than luke warm ones, or tea where after the first cup, happens to be luke warm. We ask for extra hot water in another tea pot, and often get a tiny open jug, where the water will go cold soon afterwards. Should you spill it over yourself, you can get scalded, as opposed to a proper tea pot which has a lid on it. Some of the staff just don't listen. The Ballentynes one just up the road will give you much better service. After the last time we visited there, we will not be dining there, unless we are desperate, and would advise you to do the same, if you want some great service and go elsewhere . You don't always...

On a Sunday morning I went in search of a heart starting coffee - there is limited choice at 8am. The Coffee Culture seemed a likely candidate to assuage my warm caffeine desire. The coffee was quite nice and mostly hit the right places on an early Sunday morning. The service seemed good until it came to the final part of the transaction. I ordered a coffee to consume in the alfresco tables and made my desire known to the waitress who took my order. Something went wrong in the transition to the barista because they put it in a to-go cup even when they realised I would be sitting in the establishment. It is small and a bit karenish but that is not the experience I wanted to have. Was it a passive-aggressive clue that they didn't want me around? Or... staff not paying attention to their job? So if you want an above average coffee on a Sunday morning, then Coffee Culture is the go and make sure you...
