Burger King Timaru — Restaurant in South Island

Google stated opening hours to be until 1:00am on Saturday night/Sunday morning... Walked to Burger King, Timaru an arrived at 11:50pm to see them closed and shutting down for the night. Wasnt impressed, wont bother again.

Edit* So i unfortunately resorted to trying again, turned up on Sunday night at 9:50pm to find the doors locked and staff member cleaning.

Offical closing hours were ment to be 11pm. After a conversation through the door i was told to walk to the drive through, where a manager took my order and told me "season hours change" meaning early closing...

However, as we are in the middle of summer right now, upon questioning about this it was clear that they had know idea what they were doing, besides trying to get home early. Recieved my meal and was satisfied, but the staff leave something...

We have reviewed this at 3 stars for the food was as we expected. A casual snack and supplied within a fair time frame... BUT. We didn't expect to be in an adolescent kindergarden. Both in our early 40's we are not against kidz having somewhere to be and have fun.. Its just that the atmosphere was dominated by teenagers and a lack of mature staff to maintain an orderly environment. We feel there needs to be someone on site that brings sum control here. The adjoining Z station staff were in agreement with our concerns and shared that our observations were light compared to what was inevitable to escalate. And only a matter of time before things got worse. We hope Burger King will take more responsibility for this...

I don't usually post reviews like this, but I was really disappointed with the drive-through order this weekend while in Timaru. The triple cheeseburger was literally 3 patties stacked inside a bun with sauce (no pickles or cheese). Quite disappointing, but as I was driving through the town, I wasn't about to drive back. Burger was flavourless and dry (really missed that grill taste on the burger), despite the minimal sauce on the top of the bun. The drive-through looked old and hasn't had any money spent on it to update it since I was last in there over a decade ago. The chips however...
