Been wanting to try this place since it opened, with Timaru having limited options where sushi is concerned I was excited when I heard about sushiteria, I was not Disappointed. We went it was early, not long after opening so the pickings in the cabinet were slim (our fault for being such eager bevers), but there was still enough to get me excited, I chose a couple pieces of salmon sushi roll (these were absolutely packed with huge chunks of beautiful looking salmon), some crispy prawn nigiri, some salmon nigiri and some eel nigiri (which I was very excited to find), all of which was excellent, the crispy prawns had an amazing crunch and were perfectly cooked and with their tail shells still on and cooked to crispy perfection, and the salmon was exceptionally generous, very fresh and creamy, and all came with a generous helping of pickled ginger and fresh wasabi. The interior is very clean and uncluttered and you can see into the kitchen which also looked clean and well appointed with a chef busily working away. the service was courteous and polite. As a chef with many years experience I would definitely recommend and look forward to discovering more of what sushiteria has to offer...
