C'est Si Bon Cafe Deli — Restaurant in Christchurch

Indeed you are not alone in experiencing not "C'est Si Bon" but "C'est Si Mauvais"! Not so much from the food, which is average, but from the customer treatment! The man- in -charge followed us in his car to tell us that we were not allowed to park in the customer carpark (after watching us park there, standing in front of his shop and saying nothing: how devious is that?) and later the woman-charge (who also had nothing better to do) was taking pictures of our car, just as we were driving away! I went into the shop and confronted them and I was told that "these are the rules"! I did not want to say that in NZ we show a little more flexibility with such rules (and risk going into a "racist" argument!) Ironically, the reason we parked there was that after shopping we intended to have a snack there! If the two managers have time on their hands to hassle customers, business can't be brisk! I have never been to a place you get chased out of carpark plenty of spaces to park but BEWARE you are not aloud, this lady chased me out of carpark as we went to check out both cafes but NO we were not aloud to park there and threatened with her phone to take picture of me an my car. This is a great cafe with very friendly owners, a wide selection of fresh sweet and savoury treats and really good coffee. I like this place alot and always stop by when visiting Christchurch and would certainly recommend it to others. Thanks again for a...
