A lovely, warm and welcoming studio with awesome teachers! I got a 7-day travellerâs pass and went to eight classes in five days, including my all-time favourite practice of Bikram 26/2 yoga and a new favourite: yin yang. I wouldâve liked to have gone to more of these, but the opportunity was mostly for flow/vinyasa. This is the current in vogue yoga nationwide, so I understand they have to cater for demand. People with certain conditions will find this yoga difficult, but the teachers here take the time to give you helpful tips before class or correct your posture during class. They donât just focus on the regulars and ignore the short-term visitors, they help everyone and this was greatly appreciated. While always wanting more bikram (Iâd practice daily if I could), I did enjoy the balance of classes and to finish on restorative yin was the perfect end to the perfect week. However, I do hope there are two areas that can be improved: While I understand the importance of profitability, I hope the class sizes can be better controlled. Itâs really uncomfortable when I lie down and open my eyes, only to find someoneâs feet just a notebook's distance away from me. It feels like Iâm breathing in someone else's foot odor, which is quite unpleasant. I also hope there can be more flexibility and understanding toward serious members. If a class is changed or cancelled due to an instructorâs schedule, the sessions that members have already booked should be fairly adjusted or shifted. Just because someone is on a âStartâ membership and has enjoyed an introductory offer doesnât mean they shouldnât receive the same level of consideration and fairness as any other member. Plenty of choice from cooler, dreamy stretch classes through to active and energising hot flow. I love Soul Yin Yang - a warm class with a focus on movement, mobility and strengthening, finished with a beautiful mindful and soothing relaxation. The Soul Pilates classes are another favourite with excellent tutors guiding the practice and providing great prompts to ensure you are aligned and your core is firing!
