Poor experience today. We ordered xiao long bao but after waiting for about 35 minutes, the table next to us, who just placed order not long ago, was served with xiao long bao before us.
We continue in waiting and thinking of, we should be served the next soon. But unfortunately, no. We did a check with the staff about our order and was not given an courtesy explanation at all, just given a set of xiao long bao that was already packed in a container, left on our table “just like that”. Until I further asked, how come the table next to us could get the dish earlier than us? Then only we were given a “so call” explanation, oh you eat this first which was packed earlier for takeaway as we have served the dish wrongly. Yes, not given an apology with “not so” sincere attitude. I can understand everyone made mistake, but at least, give a sincere explanation and probably reheat the dishes, remove and place them in the steam basket before serving to us? We were not even asked if we are fine to accept this arrangement.
I do not usually practice to leave a comment, this is first time ever as it left us a bad experience for the...
Read moreCame to try this place out as friend recommended it. Food was good enough but sadly I'm very dissapointed because of poor customer service, and will not be coming back because it's just not a pleasant environment to dine in. It's a small restaurant with limited seats, and it's very busy in the morning so naturally there'd be a long que which is understandable. However the staff didn't manage the waiting line adequately, allowing some people who want takeaway to cut in. It'd be better if there's two separate ques, one for dine in n one for takeaway, or give out numbers to manage ques. They don't take reservation, but a diner told us she's made booking already and was allowed to be seated before us, which just confused us. Anyway, I think the owner needs to better manage the way she takes order and be consistent. Also the staff is not very obeservant and aware of who's made what order. There are better chinese...
Read moreThis place isn’t even worth trying. They have no parking spaces at all. After struggling to find parking, we finally made it into this tiny restaurant. Unfortunately, it was quite full, and we were a group of four.
The only available tables were two small ones that could only fit two people each. Instead of offering any arrangements or options to sit separately, they simply told us, "Wait outside, we have no space at the moment." When we asked how long the wait would be if we were willing to stay, they just said, "No idea."
Honestly, I don’t think they were full because their food is good—it’s just that not many restaurants are open at 8:30 AM in Christchurch. I have no idea what makes them feel so entitled to treat customers this way. Rudest restaurant I’ve ever encountered in...
