I would often hear good things about All Stars on Bealy while driving Uber, so decided to give it a try for as a celebration of the 22nd anniversary of the first date with the love of my life. Free onsite parking is slightly limited, although we did find a park without any issues. On arrival we got a lovely welcome from friendly and accommodating staff – which is always a great impression. The roaring fire in the corner is lovely, warm and homely and being able to see into the kitchen gives confidence. There were some large groups when we arrived, so we had to wait around 20 minutes for a table. Personally, not being a Speights fan, I was disappointed with the beers on tap, but this is really not very fair as a 6 beer selection for draft could hardly be described as “lacking” We had plenty of time to go through the menu before being seated, and were impressed by the selection. The meat platter looked fascinating, and is something we want to try the next time we return (and we WILL be back). This time round however we went for Baby Back Ribs, Pork and a Lamb Shank. On ordering – the wait staff proactively suggested a menu replacement that offered the same meal at better value, which is hugely impressive! After ordering the food came quickly – out starter was stuffed mushrooms which were totally delicious. Nicely cooked and lovely gooey cheese. Really enjoyable.
The lamb shank was very very tender – with the meat falling from the bone. A nicely tangy gravy went well with the mashed spud and fresh vege. Something that I wouldn’t hesitate to try again.
Baby Back ribs – like the lamb were tender as well as being wonderfully meaty. (i.e lots of flesh on the bone). Just as good as any ribs I have had anywhere.
The pork – this was what I would describe as “competent”. Nothing wrong with it, and you wouldn’t be disappointed, however in comparison to the lamb – not as good.
Although the helpings didn’t look big, we weren’t able to finish everything so I would have to admit that serving sizes were pretty decent.
All in all – a pretty wonderful experience and a place that I will definitely being returning to. Also a very special word of thanks to all the staff – service was friendly, proactive and unobtrusive. Exactly the way that we like it. Very well done to the...
Read moreDespite the bad breakfast buffet experience the post customer service was amazing! I believe the buffet will be improved quickly. The food that I did have was yummy.
Millie went out of her way to make things right and when things don’t go well how you handle them makes a huge difference.
Millie you are an absolute asset to the team! thank you! I will be coming back to try again soon.
I don’t recommend the buffet breakfast it seems like a good deal but when you get there you spend the whole buffet waiting for food to be refilled. I was able to get 2 half plates in 2 hours both plates missing most of the food that you want at the buffet. My wife waited 30-40 minutes for more eggs and bacon to come out by the time she got them the rest of plate was stone cold. The Juice was empty most of the buffet as well as fruit outside of the apples. I was also overcharged for my booking and I emailed them about it in response to their email to me requesting feedback before posting this, but I haven’t heard back from anyone. I won’t be back to this establishment. I paid over $100 dollars for about $40 worth of food for my family. I could have watched the game at home and ordered a delicious breakfast for the whole family for the same price. The Coffee was amazingly good but that wasn’t part...
Read moreI've been a regular at The Bealey and have previously enjoyed my experiences here. The atmosphere of this steak house has always been fantastic, with happy diners and great food. In the past, I've particularly enjoyed their ribeye.
However, my recent visit was disappointing. The food quality seems to have declined, possibly due to a change in the kitchen staff. Here are my main concerns:
Steak preparation: They struggled to cook a rare steak properly. Meat quality: The cut of meat was substandard compared to previous visits. Presentation: The plating was poor and lacked the attention to detail I've come to expect. Side dishes: The choice of hot beetroot as a vegetable alongside a steak was questionable and not enjoyable.
It's disheartening to see such a decline in what used to be a reliable spot for a good meal. I hope the management takes note of this feedback and addresses these issues.
On a positive note, the service remains excellent. The staff continues to provide top-notch attention and care to diners.
I sincerely hope The Bealey can return to its former glory. As a longtime customer, I'd love to see improvements in food quality and preparation to match the great atmosphere and service...
