Water Drop Vegetarian Cafe — Restaurant in Christchurch

April 2022: We've been here a few times now for their vegan dishes and it's been fantastic every time. Their portion sizes are good, prices are reasonable, the staff are friendly and helpful and the chefs are magicians! If you're looking for yummy vegan food, or vegetarian if you're not quite there yet (or you're a flexitarian), this is a great place to eat. Plus, there's the rest of the premises to explore if you're interested :)

May 2022: We came here for a Mother's Day High Tea - wow! The food was amazing (of which some items had been made vegan especially), the restaurant was decorated and laid out beautifully and the service was excellent. Our most recent trip to Water Drop Teahouse was an unforgettable experience. The Teriyaki Patty set , fillet set, wedges, dumpling soup and all other food was really nice. All service attendants made my family felt really warmth & welcoming from table service and prayer service upstairs in the grand altar room was enlightening. We met Ricky one of the service attendant who was super nice and friendly, he shared with us his experience on which places are nice for tourist like ourselves to visit at Christchurch. Ricky went the extra mile and his friendliness and hospitality is second to none. Always so nice & friendly to have a chat which is really appreciated for new visitors like us. Gorgeous delicious vegetarian and vegan food. My dumpling soup was really good, I couldn't tell they were vegetarian. My husband and father-in-law really enjoyed their fried udon, and my mother-in-law had bbq (char siew) noodles with dumplings. We also bought side dishes such as wontons, polenta fries and coriander pancakes, all of which were excellent. Portion sizes are good. Highly recommended and we would definitely come again!
