The staff's behavior was surprisingly rude and disrespectful.
We have been arranged a table and seated, waiting for our friends to arrive. They were slightly delayed, but they were only 5mins away from joining us. There were 2 groups waiting in line behind us, which is a common practice in the food industry. It's understandable to wait in line until being assigned a table and being informed of the estimated wait time for available seats.
However, we were shocked when a staff member approached our table and asked if the newcomers could take our seats, instead we stand up and wait. This solution was highly unprofessional and incredibly impolite.
We tried to be understanding and suggested that we could place our order now and even order for our friends. To our surprise, the staff refused, stating that orders could only be placed when the person was physically present at the table.
I have never encountered such poor service in any restaurant before. I strongly urge the owner or staff to learn how to effectively manage seating arrangements and implement appropriate protocols for handling such situations. These are essential aspects of running a business.
Let's not even discuss the quality of the food since we didn't get the chance to try it. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this place, nor will I recommend it to anyone.
We felt extremely uncomfortable and decided to leave. It's worth noting that while the taste of the food matters, if the service industry doesn't know how to respect its customers, the business will struggle to survive in the market.
(btw the mismatch between ramen and music is understandable since this is simply a fast-food establishment where they expect customers to eat quickly and leave. It doesn't seem like they prioritise creating an atmosphere for enjoying music. If the restaurant is named "Fast-Food Ramen," we certainly wouldn't delay other customers' dining time by waiting for our friends outside and then entering the restaurant. Fair enough.
It's important for businesses to align their offerings and ambiance. If they focus on providing fast service and quick meals, it's understandable that they may not prioritise creating a conducive environment for appreciating music. However, regardless of the restaurant's concept, basic respect and good customer service should always be...
Read moreThis place was previously my go to place with my family, it's a little sad seeing what we had 4 years ago to now. I've always had the Tonkotsu Miso Chashu from here, never anything else so I think I know and realise that the amount of toppings has really decreased a lot over the past years. I remember it would be such a big portion that I almost wouldn't be able to finish it, comes along with a nice jammy half egg and a piece of seaweed. Now there's no egg, no seaweed, and the portion size is definitely alot smaller.
Whilst I understand the rise in costs for everything, the costs of this ramen has also increased along with it making it no longer stand out to it's competitors. Costing $23 for the Tonkotsu Miso Chashu when you don't even get an egg or even a slice of seaweed is definitely a little dissapointing. The bowls used to be so big, and I can definitely see that the sizing has dropped about 1/4 - 1/5 of what it previously was a few years ago.
Not sure if it was just the day, but I remember this place would consistently be packed during lunch time 12-1:30, most the time we would have to wait to be seated. Today, only 2 tables were filled when we were there (including ours). Considering there was essentially no one there when we arrived, the ramen still took a while to come out which doesn't exactly make sense.
The woman there use to always have a nice smile and seemed very bubbly, but nowadays it's no longer there, seems like something is wrong but idk, just my overall view.
This place was so good and so worth, I'm really not sure...
Read moreSo disappointed. My friends and I have been having ramen at this restaurant for almost 6 years, and today we introduced the place to a family of mine. The wife said we couldn’t combine tables but that we could pull another chair to the side (which would block the way to the toilet). We were confused, but since she said so, we followed the owner's instruction. Later on, the husband came aggressively and yelled at us saying we couldn’t sit like that, nor could we combine tables. We could only sit separately or leave. We were shocked and angry! But the husband looked like he was going to beat us if we didn’t follow what he said, so we had to leave that place for our own safety. We have never been treated unfairly like this before! We spend hundreds and thousands of dollars at this place; the wife even knows us, used to be a nice place, but not anymore. The husband is such an awful person. You lost 5 loyal customers forever. Hope you are...
