Such a beautiful lil gem in the heart of Devonport. Started off with complimentary poppadoms which were delicious and then were greeted by Kushal himself and his gracious host/MD.
They made me a dish which wasn’t even on the menu! Aloo Matar is my favourite Indian dish but I think I’ll go for Aloo Gobi next time. All of the food was very fast to the table and absolutely gorgeous. We were served with warm plates to eat off and the food stayed very hot too throughout our meal (how do they do that?!). Naan was very tasty and so many various options too! Prices were all very reasonable with generous portions. We finished off with the Gulab Jamun which id never tried before - reminded me of Almond Croissant.
All in all we we’re very pleased with the quality of the food and atmosphere and decor. I can’t wait to go there again, I’ve got a takeaway menu that now lives on the fridge so I can dream up the next meal. We’re thinking the ginger chicken and broccoli and/or the tandoori chicken w/ sago pudding to finish off with.
Thanks to Kush and the team for an...

The staff was super friendly, knew a bit and talked to us in our local language which is always heartwarming 💕 we ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala with Garlic Naan, Lamb Madras, Basmati rice, Lamb Seekh Kebab and sweet Lassi. Everything was just SO good, authentic and cooked to perfection.
I wish they open a branch nearer Auckland CBD (of maybe in the West? Lol), but in any case I now know where to eat in case i find myself in...
Read moreCalled in here feeling like a nice curry as it was about 1 o'clock and the weather was beginning to get sulky again. They were offering a $12 lunch time special package of any choice of curry, with rice and a naan. I ordered, was shown to a table by the helpful and patient lady at reception. She brought a carafe of water and a glass very quickly to me. Very soon a very polite and friendly gentleman arrived with my lunch. In terms of presentation, and taste this was the nicest palak paneer with rice and naan I have experienced. This place is now my favourite lunch place in my favourite haunt in...
