THIS STORE IS A SUPER SPREADER EVENT WAITING TO HAPPEN!
I made similar comments on New World Devonport six months ago. They've learnt nothing and nothing's changed.
Other than the counter-staff, few of the staff stacking shelves among the customers are wearing masks. And about a third of the customers aren't wearing them either. There was no staff at the entrance asking customers to sign in or wear masks.
With this level of community leadership and general compliance at Level 3, a pandemic of the UK-version of Covid-19 is all but inevitable.
The Government's protocol states:
"Face coverings You are strongly encouraged to wear a face covering when you're outside your home and in a place where it’s hard to stay 2 metres away from other people, like on public transport or IN SHOPS." [My capitals.]
As we have to get our groceries at supermarkets at Level 3, they're the closest we have to potential Super Spreader Events. It's a pity NW puts its commercial interests above that of any service to the community.
It's us - and NW's employees - who bear the risk to our health, our economy, and our livelihoods. Business owners who don't bear directors' liabilities for Covid-related deaths and disabilities, when their premises are implicated, appear to take little responsibility.

For example today there was not one Meadowlea item on the shelf in the dairy department. Not even an empty space where it used to be and no explanation at point of sale. When asked none of staff new why but offered to try to find out.Still waiting to hear on that one . Great range of normal and gormet products but as I visit my elderly uncle weekly I love being able to purchase a hot meal, delicious salads and have dinner here each week with him, so easily.
