We spontaneously decided to have dinner at this locality as the reviews looked quite good. The place was buzzing and almost fully booked. We were able to get a table at 8:30pm and had the honour to be served by Rose. This young lady really know what she is doing! Handling several tables by herself, always confident and with a smile! This stood out to me, as I have hospitality background myself (5* hotels & Michelin restaurants)
The drinks menu has a very nice choice of local wines and beer along with new cocktails and classics. And the staff were the best! One of the waitresses made a drink not on the menu that was awesome - something with elderflower syrup and lemon, an elderflower sour? We first had cocktails and then watched the documentary on the Fiordland which we highly recommend. Then after the film, we had an awesome dinner. The lemon curd cheesecake is so good. This place is better than Red Cliff even though the lead chef is the same for both. The atmosphere here was better...
