Where do I begin?

The food at Lykke was delicious! My only trouble with the food was the fact that there was so much flavour packed into my order of the Harissa Scram. I would have loved to taste more of the egg and Harissa rather than the onion, feta and other flavour combos combined that overpower the core ingredients that make the “Harissa Scram”.

Service at Lykke was amazing! Myself and my family were greeted with a kind young lady who seated us within seconds. We were handed menus straight away with a wide smile on the waitress’s face. Within about 5 to 10 minutes, our orders were taken. Not only was the order taking fast, Our drinks were at our table in another 5-10 minutes and within a further 5 minutes our meals arrived as well. The cafe wasn’t empty either, but the service was efficient and organised.

The space was very green and felt organic. All tables were clean and looked beautiful. The cabinet at the front of the store was full of delicious and fresh looking food.

I would recommend Lykke to anyone who is looking for a modern and organic cafe. This cafe is perfect for anyone looking to experience new flavours and an atmosphere of pure happiness just like the name states. Also if you love plants then this cafe is full of beautiful...

The store is lovely unfortunately;

I had ordered their lovely meat platter for 4 adults 4 weeks in advance, to which I confirmed the order via their socials 2 weeks later.

Admitidly I arrived at the store 25 minutes prior to pick up, as I assumed it would be ready to collect, so I was happy to look at their gift store.

However I was shocked at the staff they had on serving at the time. The kitchen lady said she had no idea about the platter as she was not told. The girl on the till seemed unsure and perhaps a new trainee?

I was then expected to wait 30 minutes for her to slap up the forgotten platter meanwhile other diners meals were served despite them arriving moments after me.

I was offered a coffee which was also very bland and lacklustre in my opinion.

The platter was made, and was shocked at the stale crakers, bland hummus (absouletly no tahini or lemon) and the meat was very rationed....

Really dissapointed as had high expectations of the place seeing as it markets it self as a quaint euro...

Located in a commercial area next to a car yard, it’s not where you’d expect a cafe. The interior is high ceilinged and comfortable though. The food has some Danish twists that make it unique, and definitely quality food over quantity seems to be the philosophy. The big breakfast had delicious and juicy meatballs, perfectly crisp hash cake, and very tasty smoky thick cut bacon that would be very hard to beat. The hotdogs contained a flavourful homemade sausage topped with gourmet pickles. The fries were also perfectly cooked and seasoned. The coffee used Grey Roasting Co beans, and was smooth and faultless. At the time we visited there was 20 minute wait for food, but at least the staff (who were professional) warned us and also tolerated our hungry 18...
